They nailed OML. I just don't get why that raspy and powerfull "i dooo" didn't get to the studio version.
Whatever your opinion on the new record, there's no question that performance came directly from the heart. Stunning.
Heavy and One More Light sound amazing. Glad to see Chester in top form again. And that OML performance was so emotional.
That felt improvisational. As if Chester were screaming right to Chris. In a way I hope that's the only time Chester ever does that. It was amazing, but preserve that moment.
In response to this amazing performance I feel like the band and management should build off the momentum this song is getting and make it the next official single. I originally thought they should maybe wait and release it last but after seeing this it's undoubtedly a song that will touch a lot of people and get some traction. Nothing but pure emotion in this version of the song.
Cool that they dedicated One More Light to Chris Cornell. Very sad that he passed away... I saw him perform with Linkin Park in 2008, and I know Chester was friends with him. I've seen people say that they want to know why he committed suicide, since he seemed to have put his demons behind him, but often times, the ones smiling on the outsider are the ones hurting the most on the inside. Anyways, a great performance of the song.
Exploitative capitalists. But yeah, I do think it's a great marketing opportunity. Good Goodbye and Invisible would have to wait.
They must release this performance as a live single. This is by far the most impacting performance ever.
