The whole meme invasion of this song definitely ruined it for me But it was never my favorite though.
Fair enough. Memes are too corny for me these days, so I never payed attention to it. unlike Crawling, I think it'd executed too well for me to care about the memes
Oh god Chester not again Look, Chester, I understand fending off angry fans for the past ten years have been tough but this doesn't bode well for you. https://planetradio.co.uk/kerrang/e...ester-call-us-sell-outs-ll-punch-f-ing-mouth/ http://www.nme.com/news/music/linki...ill-punch-fcking-mouth-call-sell-outs-2075945
I completely understand what he's saying and why. This is a personal record for them, they wrote about themselves and their families and they've been getting a lot of negative reviews both from fans and critics but he really should control himself because this repels people even more and it gives a lot of bad publicity they really don't need. There are a lot of better ways to express you don't agree and it actually makes me sad that he turned into this angry person.
Updated the writing credits of OML. Rob, Dave and Joe aren't co-writers after all. Chester wrote less songs this time around.
I still have an issue with external writers because it's not what the band used to do and it seems less personal now although if's completely contradictory to what the band says. I know they wanted to explore new ways of writing but I always had less respect towards artists who do it this way although I know everybody does it.
I agree it wasn't the best way to say it, but I undestand why he did it. Imagine people calling you sellout for more than ten years and with OML being such a personal album por them, it must suck to show your feelings to the fans only to be insulted.
Talking to Myself and One More Light are my two favorite songs of the new record and it absolutely warms my heart to see that they are not that difficult to play on the guitar. The opening riff of TTM is simple enough and OML is a beginner fingerpicking song. Awesome.
As far as I remember this is the first time they talked to some 30 or so external songwriters because they wanted to learn new ways of songwriting.
I wonder if Chester's drowned out wail/falsetto during the guitar solo in OML was something that wasn't planned and Chester just happened to do it out of emotion.
I have a shocking revelation to deliver: LP's new album is not rock. In fact, it doesn't actually sound like rock at all
Saw it on TV. It was hilarious. They always do that. Interviews in completely weird/noisy situations. He (his name is Klaas) didn't say much. He just explained what they're about to do. Blasting the song heavy at high volume from all angles of the shop.
Oh so they were conducting the interview while Heavy was blasted repeatedly from different speakers as a prank? Holy shit
