When people start talking about music or especially rock, it's mostly the guitarists who will be praised all the time.
Ah ok got you then. My fault But there are musicians in other bands that get the most praise - Flea in RHCP, Dave Grohl in Nirvana, Geddy Lee from Rush I think it's because the guitar is the most upfront instrument but it doesn't make their talents less valuable
Well of course they'd get the most attention in rock--most rock bands put the guitarists at the forefront. Guitar solos are much more common than drum solos and infinitely more common than bass solos unless you're RHCP. The bands intentionally push the guitar to the forefront because it's the biggest defining part of the genre. Rock has also been a huge genre since it started emerging in the mainstream in the 50s and 60s, and dominated most of the other genres for a while. Three Days Grace and blink-182 with new singers actually aren't that bad. The latter does it a lot better though.
Frick, I forgot about them actually. I'm a huge Rush fan lmao. Rush, Sum 41, and Avril Lavigne is the trinity of Canada in my opinion. Justin Timberlake's "Justified" is better than "Future Sex/Love Sounds"
All genres will take a dip for a certain time. Right now, rap music might seem to be too focused more on energy and vibe than lyrics but it'll just end up being an anecdote in rap history. This happens with every trend.
+ Silverstein, Alexisonfire, City and Colour (Dallas Green of Alexisonfire), Counterparts etc. ... Canada is full of great bands and musicians Take aloo look at GB. UK Rap is in its prime. England is on fire currently. Imo UK rap is better at the moment. While US rap might not be as good as during its heydays anymore, the scene is still alive and breathing. I really like Run The Jewels and Alyssa Marie for instance.
I actually quite enjoy that album as well. I like all of Julien-K's albums but We're Here With You really sticks out as the best of the 4.
