Well, I stopped having any interested in hard synths around that time and stopped recording instruments altogether. I do my stuff in-the-box
Oh ha, I found computer synths to be boring with a mouse-click in my opinion. I'm finding an advantage with this through a funner, and possibly even a quicker workflow, in the studio. Really depends who you are. Trent Reznor uses a lot of analog which is very inspiring. His studio has more instruments than what Guitar Center has to offer.
