I know someone who goes for a walk at 3 am every day and takes over every gym around the neighborhood, gets a shit load of coins for it and buys lucky eggs to level up using pidgeys and weedles And no, that person isn't me, although I did spend some time with it.
Hit level 23 last night. Jesus the XP grind is real. Must capture more Pidgeys for Lucky Egg grinding.
Anyone here still playing the game? I sideload apk file from http://choilieng.com (I'm too eager to this game so i got it even it hadn't been available yet in my countries) but i haven't played it until Pokemon was officially released in my region (so i don't think this is not allowed). I reached level 26 with around 100 pokemons and then got banned in Sept, i had no idea abt this then i realize they announced that they will banned permanently any player who's cheating (I'm not), using rooted phone (yes, I'm). That's unfair. I've never thought rooting phone is anything against the law or legal. I guess no one who're high-tech would leave their phone unrooted, i mean they all want to do more interesting things with their phone.
I still play the game. I stopped playing in August until I found people around my campus who also play and bring the social aspect of it back. I've been able to connect with people through only the game, which in itself is freaking awesome because as an extraordinarily introverted fool I'd never dare engage with others I don't know normally. As to the reason why rooted devices are banned...there's no concrete answer. I honestly think this provision was something that Niantic might have come to an agreement with regarding the phone manufacturers/developers. I'm going to address your statement about rooting though. I for one leave my phone unrooted not because I'm not "high-tech" but because I see no reason to use my phone to that capacity when I have a PC to do that, which also doesn't require me to sit and stare at a tiny screen. My phone is a phone and its primary purpose is for calling and texting people--it does that perfectly with or without rooting. No ill will but a warning that it comes off like you have an elitist mindset.
I never played Pkmn Go because I grew up playing the nintendo gameboy and ds games since Pkmn Sapphire and until X and Y (still javen´t bought Sun or Moon, but who knows if I will be willing to or not, probably not) and waking up early on weekends to watch the series and I feel like those were and are still the real pokemon games/seroes, the essence of pokemon which was clearly lost in Pkmn Go, in this case I´m much more sceptical than as to LP music, which I like almost in its entirety

I started on games when I was 3 years old and still don´t know if I´ll buy Sun and Moon, probably yes, but I have too many albums on my list to buy until the end of 2017
