I'm wondering how they could shape up their setlist post-Chester era LP.. If we count some old LP songs with Mike-centered songs, it's just only few though except if he incorporates some Fort Minor stuff, as well. Joe Solo needs to comeback, Welcome, Devil's Drop and It's Going Down too.
The news about the certifications of LP singles are indeed bittersweet, but also a demonstration of the greatness of the band and people's recognition of that greatness and Chester's legacy.
+1. It's sad it took Chester shedding the mortal coil for the world to realize what we knew all along.
That's what I always say, people only praise the greatest legends by paying tributes, making statues and all that after they pass away, not while they are alive and although it's good to recognize the legacy of such great legends, I think they deserve more recognition while they are still presenting their work to us.
Besides Nirvana, LP is the other band I'm proud to say that I listened to since they first premiered on MTV.
Composition-wise it sounds finished, but it doesn't sound properly mixed/mastered to me. Maybe because I've only listened in poor quality youtube uploads though.
If you check this page, you'll see that various works in the LP discography have been freshly certified Platinum or Multi-Platinum, including "A Thousand Suns" and "Collision Course".
Good news, even though they are bittersweet. As to THP and OML, neither of them is even Gold yet and also Meteora is still a bit far from being certified Diamond. I'm sure at least OML will get Gold and who knows even Platinum, but with THP is a bit more difficult because it's an older record and came back to the charts with less impact than any other LP album.
Love seeing all these big name artists paying tribute to Chester. Even though Linkin Park is one of the biggest bands on the planet, they've generally felt "uncool" for nearly a decade now and more of a "guilty pleasure" band than anything. I'm glad everyone appreciated Chester this much, and felt it necessary to share it with the world.
Man, I bashed Sharp Edges constantly when OML came out, but today I really felt it. It's still not my favorite song off the album or even close, but it's great in its own right. And I loved the way they played it live.
Hi everybody. I made a video about the 1st Linkin Park show in Hungary. This is my 1st ever video, so there are some little mistakes.
