Great first album from them, eagerly waiting their new album. Got into them because of LP, but they're a pretty good band.

Listening to one of the Radiohead albums I hand't listened to before. A bit different from Kid A, Ok Computer and AMSP. Great instrumentally as always, but not a step forward vocally. I wish the vocals could be a bit more expansive, but I get that idea with every album they release even though all albums I've listened to from them are at least 7/10. This album seems sonically more quirky.

Amor Electro - Procura Por Mim
The best portuguese song I've heard in ages. The other one was also by this band, which is very well known here. This song is almost perfect lyrically, vocally and sonically. The least good part is the male vocals. I really like the edgier part that has some rock and electronic elements that sound amazing as well,even though this is made to be a ballad. I wish there were more portuguese female fronted pop-rock bands, but most of the female singers here are Fado singers.

@Tony V, that Deafheaven song is great in terms of instrumentation, I love that intro and the guitar solo, the sound that accompanies the vocals is at least good and catchy. If that band had clean vocals they'd be a really good band, but I understand that being black metal doesn't allow them space for clean vocals, but they could do it like Chelsea Wolfe, dark lyrics and clean vocals more lost in the background most of the times and they could also use repetition in their lyrics. It doesn't neccessarily have to be clean vocals, but they could use more controlled growls as well. Do you happen to know any black metal band with mostly clean vocals or even female-fronted black metal bands?

I don’t know many bands similar to Deafheaven with clean vocals. Maybe Deftones, since they share similar influences but they are not as instrumentally complex or interesting as Deafheaven. I think Gibs may know since he has been listening to metal longer than I have.

I do like me some Chelsea Wolfe, she’s a good example of an artist with metal influences doing melodic music. I’m not sure Deafheaven will ever do clean vocals but we never know.
