This means any form of section from a particular member that stands out to you. Doesn’t have to be a guitar solo. I know that Rob has had a few drum solos. You could also add a rapping section you like from Mike, or a scream from Chester. Mine are: Guilty all the Same (Brad), A Line in the Sand (Brad), In Pieces (Brad), War (Brad), New Divide (Joe), Burn it Down (Mike), Somewhere I Belong (Mike), Given Up (Chester) and One Step Closer (Chester). What’s yours?
I like the synth solo in The Catalyst and the guitar solo on OML. I also like the guitar solos on MTG and In Pieces.
In Pieces seems to be in almost everyone’s list. Hey, it’s better than that sad excuse of a solo in What I’ve Done. A Line in the Sand is my favourite out of Brad’s solos overall. It’s a simple melody, a bit of tremolo picking and some tapping exercises, however it still sounds really cool.
TLTGYA, In Pieces and the majority of THP solos are amazing Robot Boy and The Catalyst synth solos are also epic af And I love the Drop of Sorry for Now too
Forgot to say I like Joe’s part on Session, though that is more likely just pieces of performances mashed together
- Guitar solo on TLTGYA - Synth solo on Robot Boy - Mike's raps on Until It Breaks - Guitar solo on ALITS - Guitar solo on In Pieces - Scratching on Session
HT: -Chester's hook on Papercut -Chester's bridge on In The End -Chester's hook on By Myself -Mike's intro rap on Points of Authority -Mike's verses on Forgotten Meteroa: -Chester's hook on Lying From You -Mike's verses on Nobody's Listening MTM -Brad's solo on In Pieces -Mike's verses and singing on Hands Held High -Second verse of Bleed It Out - Chester's first verse on Valentine's Day ATS -Mike's first/intro reggae verse on WFTE -Second verse of WTCFM -Mike's first verse on Iridescent - DJ scratching on The Catalyst LT -Mike's first two verses on LITE -Mike's verse on Roads Unraveled -Mike's last verse on UIB THP -Brad's solo on All For Nothing -Chester's hook on Wasteland (fite me) - Mike's second verse on AFN -Mike's verses on Wastelands -Chester's second verse on Until It's Gone OML -Chester's first verse on NCSM - Mike's verse on Good Goodbye -King Push's verse on Good Goodbye -Battle Symphony intro -Chester's verse on Sorry For Now
That’s quite a bit. We can’t declare on most bands which album was a particular member’s best work, however one thing’s for sure: Brad’s work was best on THP.
The solo in Burning in the Skies, Mike's rap in Victimized and the solo in In Pieces. There are more but these are the ones that I like the most.
Favorite rap by Mike is in HHH. Favorite Chester vocal is on NCSM. Bass (kinda funny to say for LP...) but I’ll say Wake or TTM. And drums by Rob go to KTTK
Agree with this. Chester's vocals on NCSM blew me away and Mike's verses on HHH are underappreciated from a technical standpoint.
