I agree, r&b and hip hop are some of the more relevant genres of music. A lot more relevant than rock music for sure.

 

And i dont like that

2018 hasn't seen any improvements in mainstream music until now and will not likely see them except for at least 4 bands or artists if all of them release something and manage to get some mainstream attention.

Hallowed Be Thy Name by Iron Maiden is extremely overrated, and in no one is one of their best songs. Never understood the love in the fanbase for it.

 

Jon Mess from Dance Gavin Dance is the best unclean vocalist/screamer right now!

 

Linkin Park fans take criticism about any of the band's work personally, in a weird way

 

One of the drawbacks of having a large and highly supportive fanbase. You see it for bands like Twenty One Pilots a lot, too. And tbh, those types of fans are in pretty much every band, though some are milder than others.
