A bit hypocritical considering how vitriolic they've always been whenever the band puts out new singles or albums.
I enjoy Avril Lavigne’s music. Especially Under My Skin. I think she is very talented, beautiful voice. And I feel happy for her that she could win the battle against Lyme desease.
Hottest take incoming: A Thousand Suns is the best album of the decade! Also: Purity Ring's another eternity the best pop/electronic album and Highly Suspect's Mister Asylum the best rock album of the decade!
When bands/artists cover songs and don't give an interesting spin to them, I find them to be extremely boring and forgettable. Put your own personal touch on it, bring something unique and different to the song (i.e. No Angels by Bastille, Same Drugs by MisterWives).
Hmmm... I love Periphery. One of the best. But Meshuggah are legends for me. Originators of the “Djent“ style. They singlehandedly influenced all those newer progressive djent bands. I like Spencers (Periphery) vocals a little bit more though. Meshuggah invented Djent and Periphery perfected it.
Gonna be honest... I see no appeal in screaming whatsoever. Some bands (like Preiphery) make some really amazing music, but I don't listen to half of the stuff they put out because it's completely unbearable for me. I feel like my music taste has expanded a lot throughout the years, but this is one opinion that I highly doubt will ever change.
