Makes sense, since LP were Oliver's first concert ever! That's when he decided to pursue a carreer in music. See: https://www.kerrang.com/features/oli-sykes-of-bring-me-the-horizon-on-chester-bennington/
A lot of musicians have watched Linkin Park perform live and/or formed bands after listening to "Hybrid Theory". Not many, perhaps none, have succeeded in matching LP's versatility and adventurous spirit like BMTH has
Both band heavy and have electronic. Ollie sound like Chester both follow same trajectory. Seem same band to me. Y no all song sound like oh no obey S U X
Im sure people will disagree with but Rap/RnB/Hard Rock and arguably Rock all peaked in the 00s decade. Pop and Indie are better in the 2010s though.
NOPE. On a more relevant note, I haven't listened to BMTH since That's the Spirit but I checked out the new song. It's alright but I was not a fan of that music video. It felt like I was in 2008 hardcore/hardcore with Attack Attack! or Falling in Reverse. And that's not a compliment...in the slightest.
Wow, I just watched as much of that as I could handle. That is a poor man's "Intergalactic" right there
Not technically a BMTH song but BMTH did the instrumentals for Experiment On Me by Halsey and it's honestly one of my favorite song of the year and instrumentally might be some of BMTH's best work. Definitely check it out if you have not heard it before!
In case anyone was wondering, the first Post Human EP is dropping pretty soon according to Oli: https://www.reddit.com/r/BringMeTheHorizon/comments/j5q4hs/post_human_so_soon/ I'm so hyped, incredibly excited as to where this goes!
Sorry for the double post but I wanted to let everyone know that the new BMTH 9 track EP/album (Idk what to call it) named Post Human: Survival Horror is coming out on October 30th. Cover art: Tracklist: Dear Diary, Parasite Eve Teardrops Obey (feat. YUNGBLUD) Itch for the Cure (When Will We Be Free?) Kingslayer (feat. Babymetal) IXI (feat. Nova Twins) Ludens One Day the Only Butterflies Left Will Be in Your Chest as You March Towards Your Death (feat. Amy Lee) I am especially interested in the Amy Lee feature, as I really like Evanescence. Also, the song "Itch for the Cure" has to be referring to LINKIN PARK, so I am interested to see if that song will be particularly like LINKIN PARK. Anyone else have any thoughts?
https://www.kerrang.com/the-news/how-linkin-park-are-influencing-bring-me-the-horizons-new-music/ Definitely excited. New stuff sounds awesome so far.
Teardrops oozes with Meteora influence in the best possible way. Certified banger. This album is going to be absolutely amazing.
Yeah the intro is totally Meteora But after that not too much imo (more post hardcore-ish and of course way more prominent bass), not amazing by their standards but still great.
This is the complete opposite direction i was hoping theyd go in after the Music to Go To release. Just wasted potential
