    The Red Album is one of the best things Weezer has done post-Pinkerton, and is highly underrated. Also, Pacific Daydream is greatness.

    Future influenced a lot of music, directly or indirectly, for the past several years. I try to say that objectively as possible because I know a lot of people will try to discredit this.

    @Modern Guitar God

    I said it back around 2016-2017 on here, Future is a legend and an influential rapper when looking at the 2010s.

    The studio recording of Don’t Let Me Down by The Beatles is better than the rooftop performance.

    Coldplay would've had a great legacy if it wasn't for Chris Martin's idiotic commercial pop curiosities later in their career.

    Which songs would you point to in particular? I know songs like "Something Just Like This" immediately jump to mind for me (and is really the atrocious outsider on what is otherwise a very solid EP).

    I think most of the stuff after VLV, they gradually progressed into a pop sound. Almost all of AHFOD is like that to me. I think their potential is stifled by Chris Martin’s fascination with big pop music. I know I sound like a boomer or stupid rock fan. I like pop music too. It’s hard to explain my criticism without sounding really simple and like I’m overgeneralizing.

    I could just be romanticizing the past though. I know some members on here have had issues with me not liking later LP because emotionally or psychologically (trauma) I can’t connect. That’s crossing my personal boundary a lot with those passive aggressive digs at me. I digress though.

    Yeah tbh, I don't find myself returning to really any of AHFOD. I still hold Mylo Xyloto in high regards, tho. Imo, that's the bands best venture into a modern pop sound.

    I mean, I think I hold nostalgia for a lot of music that came out 2010-2015. Mylo Xyloto, Living Things, the first Bastille album, the first Lorde album, the first Imagine Dragons album, etc. It's just the way it is

    The most important things to me in music as a music listener are empathy, beauty, and honesty. Everything else is just a plus. I pass on a lot of music if I don’t connect with these things. And they don’t have to come in a pleasant or soft way, empathy in music comes in various emotions. I think this also applies to my relationship with film, art, video games.

    I put this in unpopular because I think a lot of listeners don’t care about those things and that’s fine. There’s no judgment from me. That’s what makes music a great thing.

    Actually kind of agree. Don't see the appeal.

    Blink sounded better with Matt Skiba. Edging is dumb.
