Linkin Park are back together, more or less. We got a taste of what they're capable of on-stage with the live set last week. They're about to go on tour with a run of shows which will begin in just a few days from now. They're promising a 2-hour set, probably featuring selections from all 7 of their previous studio albums and beyond. And that's only the beginning of the "From Zero" tour cycle, because the band has said that they plan to hit the ground running in 2025 and tour hard throughout the year. All those songs you thought you might never get hear Linkin Park perform, whether again or for the first time, all suddenly within the realm of possibility again. What are you most curious/eager to see this new version of Linkin Park perform on-stage?
I hope given the set length they'll pull out a few deep cuts. I'd love to see something like Blackout or TLTGYA. There's also the fairly large number of tracks that were never performed live - getting something like Powerless or All For Nothing would be nice. The highlight of the LA show for me was the brief acoustic snippet of Lost. Emily absolutely killed it. I'd love to hear a full version of that (or something similar, for example, the OML tour version of Crawling). In general, I just hope the set isn't completely dominated by the first 2-3 albums.
Since "From Zero" is a wink to their first name "Xero", i have tiny hopes that they might play Reading My Eyes Other than that, as previous said - id love TLTGYA!!!
The debut show was largely the greatest hits, though I was pleasantly surprised to see The Catalyst. Would love to see some non-single songs, obviously anything off ATS, but maybe also With You. I also think Don't Stay could be fun to revisit. Though my guess is that deep cuts might be removed completely or relegated to medleys / bridges / outros and intros, since they probably want to play known LP hits more than ever on this tour, as well as a bunch of new songs hopefully.
I have faith that they'll keep the core fans in mind and surprise us a few deep cuts here and there. I wanted to start this discussion because I suddenly realised there's a faint flicker of hope for "Keys To The Kingdom"
I've never seen them live, so mostly all of them But I'd really like to see With You or All for Nothing, especially since Dave has mentioned his interest in playing the latter. Or anything from ATS really.
I wish A Place For My Head returns to the set. Also I would love to see Forgotten! But I doubt it will happen
My biggest hope is that material from their last few records won’t be completely forgotten. I would be overjoyed if we got to hear them perform “Sorry for Now.”
And of those last few records I'm sure you also would like to hear them play a lot of The Hunting Party, especially A Line in the Sand, right? You're a big fan. I would also like to hear Sorry for Now or Nobody Can Save Me. Really great songs with good energy that builds up toward the end. I'm sure they sound great live.
I know it has been played a lot but i weirdly realized, even if its not my favorite song whatsoever - i think From The Inside would be super cool.
It's really hard to say. Part of me loves and hates the idea of Emily doing a debut. Ever since the Honda Civic Tour with Incubus I was hoping to see Powerless live. Another song that would have been a debut would be Roads Untraveled but technically it was played in the Chester Tribute Show. That being said I'm not sure I'd be excited or not if either happened. Not counting a debut I'm excited for Castle of Glass, Talking To Myself, and In My Remains.
THEY PLAYED "KEYS" LET'S GOOOO Also, "Castle" was the only one out of anyone else's guesses here to make the cut at this first show
