I beg your pardon?! Excuse me?!

Final Masquerade chorus is one of LP's best.

That's definitely my 100% subjective take on it, but Final Masquerade chorus melody doesn't do it for me, at all

I'm with Qwerty on this one. The chorus of Final Masquerade, and the whole song really, is just there for me.

Yeah it's unfortunate but I think Mark is the reason more of those didn't get released. I recall Mike saying something like that. Not sure why he's so opposed to their old recordings being released.

In what truly can be considered Random LP Chat, there was a TV ad for the show The Only Way Is Essex (UK members will know this dumpster fire of a show), and the song for it was the Mike Shinoda / Martin Garrix track "Waiting For Tomorrow". I done a double take so hard it actually hurt my neck, couldn't believe what I was hearing

i'm really hoping for a full-on hip-hop track on "From Zero". Or at least a track with proper long verses.

Stuff like HHH, WTCFM, I have not begun, UIB. it's been 12 years since Mike did a track like that with LP, and I miss that aspect of the band. Dedicated and High Voltage (2000) are still some of my favorite old LP jams.

Unleash the bars, Mike. You got this.

"You think you're hardboiled, fucker you're an Easter egg" is still one of my favorite Mike lines

Just find out that Collin produced Hands Like Houses' album Dissonants, nice.

Definitely a band worth checking out, especially their 2nd album Unimagine.

From the looks of it, Colin was involved in Anon. and the self-titled EP, both after Dissonants

Ran into the VMA 2005 soundtrack by Mike yesterday.

Completely forgot that thing existed. The anticipation has been fun so far, there is that aspect of it that is like going to your attic, opening very old dusty boxes, and being surprised at what's in there.

Mike style is so recognizable, even without the signature

Joe and Colin had some fun too!

GATS is the best song on THP, it feels the most ambitious to me

GATS sure bangs hard, even 10 years later. One of the most ambitious and adventurous heavy tracks from the band, and executed so well. Super catchy. Also, Rakim is awesome.

I want to mosh the hell out of Casualty. Like the biggest mothef*cking circle pit at an LP show yet.

Lately I've been looking at the band's career in the late 2000s. It is absolutely insane to me the massive swing to MTM they made following Meteora, how successful they were in that album, and how their very next move was A Thousand Suns.

It's one thing to make a big career pivot, but to pull it off as successfully as they did speaks to them as songwriters I think. And then to make another hard shift and pull it off? Jeez.
