I'm hoping the whole album is like this...I'm actually digging this song very much.

 

Am I the only one that can't quite hear the bass in this rip?

 

I can barely hear it...it's most audible in that part where the guitar just holds out one long note before the last chorus, the bass keeps playing. But yeah, it's a pretty trebly rip, the whole bootleg sounds about like that.

No, you're not the only one. But that's nothing new. You can't hear the bass on the albums very often, which is sad. It would be awesome if Phoenix did something creative instead of just doubling Brad.

 

I agree. I'll fucking go insane if Dave does something creative and becomes the next Claypool. But if he keeps to some simple shit, like this sounds like, I won't be impressed at all.

He's audible mostly, he just plays really simple, so he's easily mistakable for Rob.

 

I'm no music expert or anything, I just listen to what I like. But if Phi just pretty much dubs up what Brad does on bass, then what's the point of having bass in LP if you hardly hear it?

 

no one can catch the rapidscream section of the song chester does...hehe.

Hmm, bt i thought the purpose of bass is to make the whole guitar song sound more complete, as a whole a rounder sound or something. Its not meant to be loud to a certain point. is it?

Like I said, I'm not an expert at music, I jsut listen to what pleases my ears. This pleases my ears but like a lot said, theres little to no creativity in the bass. Just a simple monkey see monkey do.

But the song still owns and I can't wait for the studio version.
