He's a amazing singer and song writer. He should be more credit than he already got.

All of them should be more credit then they getting now. I've listen to all types of music my whole life and nobody affected me like they did. So ever if and that's a big IF their album don't do as well as the others, I will forever be a fan of theirs!!

Hopefully this album doesn't suck as badly as Meteora did. The band needs to realize that they're in their 30's and writing an entire album devoted to their life 15 years ago just doesn't cut it.

    mid december:

    Album status: almost finished

    Name: none

    Cover: none

    Tracklist : none

    Demo(s): One

    Single: none

*I think by January we should get something. Not a big one though. It's getting hard to wait. I hope the album won't leak. I'd have a hell lot of trouble to refrain myself from downloading it. When you wait this long for an album, you get this strong feeling of satisfaction, opening the case, putting it carefully into your stereo, paying all of your attention to the lyrics, the drum, guitar, the style, the album cover, the artwork... discovering. Man, it's LP, I know I'll be in awe.

Here's how I feel. I understand writing an album takes a lot of work and coordination. I even understand that work can get complicated, causing release dates to get pushed back. But the album was first due out last summer, then in the fall, and now it's been pushed back until this spring. I really feel like they should have given us at least an album title or a track list by now, if not a final release date. The longer we aren't given a release date, the more likely the album is to get delayed again. Release dates are usually concrete, and the lack there of usually indicates that the band itself doesn't even know when it's going to be released.

It took time for them [LP] to get to know each other again..
I don't know if you'll understand what I mean, but the band wanted to start all over again.. They don't want to be known as the best nu-metal band anymore..
They just want to be new and create their own second "monster" LoL
They have taken a lot of time in this album and they just want it to be more than good.. It's not like you could make an awesome album in 3 months or somehting, especially when the band was discovering this new step for them, which is the new sound they are making now, not nu-metal..

Just give them time, I think is going to be worth it, because yes, we have waited so freaking long, but it is all going to be paid off..
Linkin Park has returned, and they have done it for good, not to suck like some of you guys think about Meteora, which I disagree..
Meteora was good.. just the perfect album to get a little bit more emotional and wrap up all the old stuff together...

Now, the time we have all waited will arrive soon...
This album is getting higher spetations than HT and Meteora did, so I think it is going to be more than we can usually expect from the band.!

I understand all of that. All I'm saying is, they could give us a little something, like an album title, or a track listing, or perhaps a release date. The album title would be easiest to do. They should have given us something other than just QWERTY since August. Another 5 months have gone by with really no updates from the band. I just don't think that's acceptable when the title has been delayed 3 times now.

I hope so. Chevelle's new album doesn't come out until early April, and they've already announced the album title, track listing, and exact release date. LP hasn't given us anything. I'm still skeptical.

Moreover, Meteora was the exact same album as Hybrid Theory, right down to matching styles on the tracklist.

I guess this is the first real test we'll see of Linkin Park's alleged ingenuity.

I've been around this forum as a lurker for a long time, and the LPU for even longer. I've seen the same teenyboppers come and go. Let's hope LP can transcend that.

"If this record sells one or two millions copies, that's a huge failure"

That was taken out of context. That's why I don't read Kerrang magazine.

So am I. By the way, I was reading Linkin Park's profile on Wikipedia as i do quite often, I read that they're style is gonna be Punk/Classic Rock/Rapcore this time, is it true?

Wikipedia is the least trust-able source of info about this sort of thing -_-

edit: trustworthy, that's the one :p

But I'd love to see LP in Punk style.
