    After months of speculation and rumors, direct confirmation has finally come from the band themselves, regarding the first single from Linkin Park's highly anticipated new album:

    While there is no confirmation as to when clips of the song will surface on the LPU or other websites, please keep tuning into the LPA as we will provide you with updates on the first single whenever they become available.

    I'm trying to get excited, but I'm actually a little heartbroken that we gotta wait till March for a new song. This almost guarantees a May release now. That is too long man.

    If I was a betting man I'd say the album is coming out on April 23rd/24th.

    Single in March, album release in April? o_O

    Seems too close together. Maybe a May release seems more logical (yes Derek I changed my mind, lol) but who knows. *shrugs*

    A month is too short of time to release a single and promote a new album. 2 months is over kill. It needs to be somewhere in between April and May.

    Hellflame's answer sounds good to me.

    "Somewhere I Belong" was released February 24th and 'Meteora' came out March 25th.

    I'm not saying that the single will be released a month before the album, or 2 months before. I'm just saying that a month and a half seems reasonable to me, and is how i'd plan out an album if I had to.

    Hmmmmm.... I was hoping for a single in Feb... But still, something straight from one of the band members is always a good thing. *Yawn* so lets just sit tight and wait for it to leak :lol:
