This band is gaining momentum every single day. Beyond cliches, genres, and stereotypes, Kaddisfly are in a world all their own. They have a new album coming March 6th, Set Sail The Prairie, that is already being called a "classic", "breakthrough", and "album of the year". Trust me, this is definitely a band worth checking out. http://www.myspace.com/kaddisfly http://www.purevolume.com/kaddisfly
I listened to a couple of thier songs, and I think that they're pretty good. I dont think that they're really amazing, though. Maybe they'll grow on me. Also, how can they're CD be called "Album of the Year"? Its only February.
It's the same way that some movies are touted as the "movie of the year" during the second week of January. They're not a bad band. They're enjoyable. But I can tell they'd get boring pretty quickly.
And it's weird for me to say that because a lot of the indie music I listen to would be considered "very boring" by most other people.
The entire "Set Sail the Prairie" album can now be streamed on their purevolume site. I recommend them for fans of (but certainly not limited to) Incubus, Circa Survive, or Dredg.
