"WOW!" Tracklisting!

Mike originally said they had narrowed things down to 17-18 songs. Whether he meant that the album will include all these tracks, or rather, that these will be the "pot" from which the final tracks are chosen, mixed, and mastered is unknown.

While I'd like a longer album like you guys, if the songs aren't up to par, I'd rather they not weaken the disc. The guys just need to start releasing b-sides on the singles.

 

The intro/outro would be on the list there anyway.


If I'm being completely honest, I expected 12 tracks. I mean, it's all that most bands are paid to do.

 

14 months in a studio ... more than 100 demo songs .. 25 GOOD songs .. 17 songs that can be in a album ...

but .. 12 songs ??

man .. i would be dissapointed if that's true .... but ... if every song is AMAZING , and all of them are more than 4 minute long, maybe i wont be dissapointed at all .. it would be 12 songs, but more than 45 minutes of excelent music ..

But for example,. 'The Little Things Give You Away' its 6+ minute long .. and that's like 2 'old' LP song plus an intro .. so ..

we just have to wait .. I think we're gonna receive a bunch of information on April 2nd . I mean , the single , the album cover and the tracklisting ..

 

What are the 25 good songs you were referring too? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just curious.

 

I think that it was just stated in interviews that they had around that many songs that were actually worth keeping, and then they just kept narrowing it down.

 

Interesting if this is the actual track list but I personally believe this is fake. I don't know why but I just don't believe it. Part of it is the number (12) and Valentine's Day really throws me off. I don't know, the unconfirmed titles seem as if they are off of 'The Love Below' or something

Anywho, this could still be a really good album, and I'd rather have 42 quality minutes than 30 good minutes and 27 crappy ones.

 

I really think the tracks will be long. Don't worry about the album being short.

 

What about a 3:30 plus instrumental? What that be cool or too long?

 

It looks like it could be legitimate, but after the KROQ ordeal, I'm not sure what to believe. Valentine's Day, while not a traditional LP sounding track could be interesting. With the lyrical capabilities of these guys, it could be intriguing to get LP's spin on the Hallmark holiday.

Hopefully there'll be a couple of bonus tracks as well, besides those if it's the real tracklist.

 

I dunno. LP's never been really big on bonus tracks. WYSIWYG.

 

if the songs are around around 3½ to 4 mins, we'll say that's like 40 minutes for 11 songs then the 6 minute song.. around 45 minutes or so roughly with 12 tracks. hopefully that's about right.

 

I think they've been fine with bonus tracks.

I guess I just have a lot of demos is all. And High Voltage and My December... K, you're right. I take what I said back. I just hope they do release some b-sides.
