The "Minutes to Midnight" album cover has finally been revealed and can be seen here. The cover follows the same simplistic & photographic style we have seen from the "What I've Done" single cover and may be recognized from the linkinpark.com opening page. It's obvious that Linkin Park don't want to take anything away from the music as they continue to reinvent themselves over & over again in preparation of "Minutes to Midnight" being released on May 15th. In other news, head on over to linkinpark.com to hear "What I've Done" on their splash page. Source: FM Myspace
Derek and I were talking about this cover earlier and we were laughing about how Brad is the odd one looking to the side while everyone else in looking straight ahead. I'm actually glad that's the album cover. No bitching from me.
Good cover. Walking from the waves of the success of the nu-metal sound and now poised to discover the new frontier of the CD. Wow that was way to sappy. My bad.
Just hope their more artwork ...Good looking cover but want more artwork cant summone on the lpu or sumthin ask ? plzz
wow, oh so different so what were they really trying to become with this album? was it trying to etch their name in history with the other great rock bands from say 70s through to 90s? just seems that way from all the 'raw' sound and all that they're using now
Its a new Linkin Park. Everything is new. New songs. New cover. New beards. New hair. New bubble gum etc
There will be more artwork, obviously, but don't expect anything drastically different. Linkin Park's primary media for this CD is evidently photography. It shows that LP can be more diverse than spray paint and graffiti art, and it shows a more mature and simplistic side which will reflect in their music. They want to reinvent themselves by showing what they can do as musicians, and I feel the range of work we've seen so far in relation to Minutes to Midnight really resembles this.
at first i was not too pleased with that linkin park logo, but it has grown on me. this cover is simplistic yet really nice. i like it a lot.
That's the thing, it is creative, just in the total opposite way of how we're used to LP being with their artwork. I think this cover is a great way to tell you that they've matured and their music is changing and that they're pretty much "starting from scratch" <--quote from either Mike or Brad this morning on KROQ i dont remember which one it was. It'll grow on you
