Yeah "pain" and "lies" indeed. I think it's just a great misconception that people think this song suddenly is only about the political/worldly stuff you see in the video. But if you haven't seen the video, and listen to the lyrics, it actually really resembles their old songs ( the lyrical idea , like, erase myself and stuff , really lp-ish). So it could also be placed in a "teen-angst"-like point of view, but on the other side, it could also be interpreted as how the video is. But I think they didn't wrote the song with those world-problems as inspiration actually, I think they found that out later.

 

The song is currently #19 on iTunes in less than 48 hours.
