Track-By-Track Analysis in Kerrang!

That's what I was thinking. The only way that would happen is if they did some cheesy thing at the end of "The Little Thing Give You Away" with several minutes of silence just to make it that long... or maybe silence to some kinda instrumental with Mr. Hahn or something they could sneak in; that'd be sweet. I'm excited for the album after reading this. I am surprised that there will be cussing, but it looks like it won't be overdone and probably only on that one song, too. I'm definitely interested in hearing Mike's solo singing performance, and the guitar solo for Brad on "The Little Things...", too. I can survive the next 41 days...I think.

Hmmm I wonder if Joe is going to have a song where he scratches and mixes beats like a madman like he's done on Cure For The Itch and Session. Maybe it'll be one of the hidden tracks? *shrugs*

My guess is that the album will span from 35- to 40 minutes, excluding the bonus tracks.

 

He's probably going to be, oh, I don't know, singing.

 

I really hope Mr. Hahn does get his instrumental spot. If not...thats one huge negative for the album. I always loved his tracks.

 

LOL i totally agreeeeeeee! LP cursing is just...weird...but cool, i guess. haha my dad rocks out to LP with me and now he's prolly gunna give me a disapproving look. hahaa, but idc lp=looooooooooooooooveeeeeeeee

 

Well Chester cussing is new to a Linkin Park album..but he's done it before. Check out "System" from the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. He says fuck several times in the song, not to mention it being the one of the darkest sounding songs I've ever listened to. But I still listen to it from time to time.

 

No idea why people are making a big fuss about the cursing. May be at a minimal after all. Least it's not like an unintelligent Limp Bizkit song.

The line Chester screams in 'Given Up' doesn't even sound that bad. So what he swears in the two lines? If it's an angry song, you must let out all the negative energy that is mustering inside of you.

The more news I read, the more excited I become. The details on how the songs will turn out really appeal to me. Especially Given Up, Little Things Give You Away, Shadow of the Day, No More Sorrow and In Pieces (it's a Chester song after all).

Awesome news. Now I can continue reading through this artcle for weeks.

 

I worry there's only 12 songs, and that one of the songs is called "Valentine's Day" with poppy sounds. I also worry about the cursing, since I always found that it is best to say something meaningful, especially in lyrics, without expletives. But as for the new instruments and sounds, this album is definitely something interesting, aside from the worries.

I always felt "Wake" would be something like a clock ticking and like an alarm going off or like when a grandfather clocks real load on the hour or whatever... Just a theory. That'd be cool, so I'm interested in what they'll do with that and if Mr. Hahn will have his input on it or not. I hope so, though I will live if he doesn't. I'm getting anxious for the album now, especially since I just pre-ordered it. I can't believe the pre-order with the 60 page art book is $100 haha. I just don't have that right now or I would've gotten that one.
