Wow, this sucks. I just dual-booted Ubuntu this morning, and somehow in the process my windows got corrupt. All my files are still intact, so I have no idea whats going on. Ill upload some videos of whats going on very soon.

Do you have the ultimate cursed PC or something? You've made two threads in the past week about really strange errors your computer has had lol.

Dude, you're never touching my computer.

What do you mean by corrupting, yet your files are intact?

Like Windows Wont start. (and lol btw at the comments) It gets to the boot screen (Windows XP with the progress bar underneath) and then says something about a fatal error and then says system has been shutdown, even though its still on. Then I have to turn it off manually.

thats another annying thing, my computer didnt come with a windows installation disk, it came with a 20gb harddrive called a recovery console, but it got corrupt too! It gives me the same message that I get when I try and start windows.

I do have a disk though, but I cant find it right now.

WTF with your computer problems? You are NEVER going near my computer....:pcwhack:

Anyways, everytime I get a fatal error (blue screen?) message I end up reintstalling Windows. Find that disk....

Which reminds me, my computer hasn't been crashing once a month like it used too.... :kicking:

Is there any way you can get a screen capture of the screen you get or any information about stop errors or an 0x000000## error? If not, you're going to need a windows cd...

Ok, so I decided to just reinstall windows XP, and now IT WONT EVEN INSTALL AT ALL. I put in the CD, follow the steps, then it formats the partition C drive thing, then it starts copying the files and stuff, then it just goes back to the setup menu. When I restart, it says something like failure to read disk. but the weird part is, UBUNTU STILL WORKS PERFECTLY. So what im trying atm is installing Ubuntu to completely overwrite everything on my harddrive, then installing windows again.
