the reason why someone would want lp to return to their metal-influenced roots is thats how they made it by playing with hard rock bands in front of hard rock crowds and ever since they changed that direction they've been struggling to find themselves.

I dont see whey they would have a whole fake interview, or just because the news come from India is not credible?..

Newspapers in general aren't good sources of information. With an interview like this, you have Akon saying things, the reporter writing them down, the same reporter piecing it together to make a story out of it, and then the newspaper editor editing it. There's about 4 links in the chain, so to speak, where information can be misquoted, taken out of context, or changed. Plus, in this case with it being from India, there's a bit of a language barrier as well ("Good Charlie").

It could very well turn out to be true, it's just not really post-worthy until a more credible source (like Rolling Stone with this news post about Busta Rhymes) reports it.

We are not discrediting it because of what country it is from. We are discrediting it because its from a newspaper (and not a major rock publication such as Rolling Stone, Revolver etc.) and because of the potential language barrier.

Considering the fact things can easily get lost in translation, we will not be posting this news until it shows up in a more prominent media source than the "Hindustan Times".

If LP do a collab with Akon, I might just hang myself.

Eh? LP hardly ever played with Hard Rock bands and were never really that heavy to begin with...

All i could think of is a big bass beat (dr dre), some guitar riffs (brad or mike), mike rap for a couple of sec, and chester singin the chorus.

They started out touring with heavier bands, but I woud never consider them metal. Hard Rock wouldn't be out of the question, but their very diverse.
I dunno what they are... their just not metal.

this song will either be wack as hell, or just okay.

if it sounds like similar to T.I.'s "You Know Who" then i may like it.

They're really doing a good job of proving they're not rap rock by collaberating with all these rappers.

Well, they've already done it with Eminem on stage in Projekt Revolution 2004.
He was one of the guests who came up during One Step Closer.

That was in 2002, and it was all of D12, not just Eminem.
