    Just saw Beowulf tonight.

Still not really sure what to think of it. I've read the epic poem and actually enjoyed it, and in the film they changed some stuff that made it really weird. The portrayal of Grendel was very strange too IMO.

However, the animation was outstanding. Several parts were amazingly realistic and many of the atmospheric shots were breathtaking. There were shots where some of the characters just looked spot on real, you could even see the little hairs and wrinkles on their face. I think it points toward a greater technology in the future.

All in all, I don't know. I'm not sure if I really like where they took the story and how they displayed some of the characters.

    Superbad - 9/10

Hilarious. I'm sure it'll be more funny the 2nd or 3rd go-around or with people watching it with me, but it's still a damn awesome movie.

Okay, so at hotels, you don't have a whole lot to do other than watch chick flicks and Eddie Murphy getting told the 'fuck you' bedtime story.

I've just finished watching. I also read the whole thing and they sure did change some things about Grendel's mother. I guess they thought it work better this was for the movie and actually it did work pretty well. I also love the fact that they covered some details from the epic. And I think that Grendel was portrayed very well, big and stronger than men, but weak at the same time.

Concerning the animation, I honestly don't know if I like it or not.

All in all, a pretty good movie, worth watching for sure.

    Stephen King's The Mist: 9/10

Great movie and the special effects were awesome. I loved the storyline and the plot and thought overall, it was a great horror movie.

The only problem I had was with Thomas Jane, who I don't think is that great of an actor. He did a pretty good job but the really emotional scenes were a little annoying. (If you see it, you'll know what I'm talking about.)
