I've always wanted Linkin Park to cover a Queen song and I think one of the songs they would do well is Bohemian Rhapsody. With Chester's unique vocal range I believe he would be able to hit some of the harder notes rather well and thus the cover would do the song justice.

What do all of YOU think though?

They'd be better suited to cover a song like "Who Wants To Live Forever?", in my opinion. I honestly don't think Chester can pull off "Bohemian Rhasopdy" and give it the justice the song deserves.

Or "Fat Bottomed Girls", just for entertainment purposes.

Wow .. Never thought about that.

I think it will sounds really cool !. Chester could do an awesome job , and Mike could sing the harmonies too. Mike and Brad on guitar [Brad can play that solo, it isnt hard] . Drums are easy too.
I think Joe should learn how to play piano, and we get the full band version.

Hahaha , it sounds like an excellent idea, but I'm sure that most of the bands don't try to cover this song, cuz it's just an all-time classic , and don't want to ruin it.

The more I think about it, Casey is right...although Chester sings very well, there are a lot of pitch changes that might make it awkward to pull off live.

"Who Wants To Live Forever?" would be a fantastic choice.

I think they could do A Queen song, just not this one. Would be interesting to hear, though.

Off topic, I nominate Casey for greatest sig ever.

Yeah, it would be a real strain on Chester's voice to do that night after night. If they were to cover that, maybe just pull it out of the woodwork on special occasions or something. But the pitch changes and whatnot can easily be manipulated in the studio.

I think a dark, haunting "Who Wants To Live Forever?" with strings and Mike on piano could be a real money-maker, appeal to older fans of Queen, introduce a new audience to Queen, and just be all around a fun cover.

@Tim: Yes, my sig is great. Wu-Tang ain't nuthin' to fuck wit.

Oh man I am imagining Linkin Park making "Who Wants To Live Forever?" really dark and brooding. It's almost drool worthy.

The band so has to see this thread lol. It's made of epic win. I know so because I made it.

And then, tacked on at the end of the track, could be a hidden little melody of "Fat Bottomed Girls", sung acapella by Chester.

I just really, really want to hear Chester sing about fat girls. Damnit!!

I don't know...Chester really sounds nothing like Freddy, they have so different styles of singing. I get this feeling that is Chester tried it, it could turn out to be a catastrophe.

EDIT: But if they gave The Prophet's Song a shot, I would definitely give it a listen. Freddy sings a touch more aggressively at times there.

As long as it isn't "Another One Bites The Dust" or "We Are The Champions", I'm happy.

I think it'd be awesome to hear them do "Bicycle Race". Ahahahaha.

I won't be happy until Chester proclaims his love for porkers and sings the line "fat bottom girls you make the rockin' world go 'round" loud and proud.
