I don't know about that, one of my friends just called me and said "I have beer, you have Rock Band, come on over" so I may be the first hung over person to speak to a presidential candidate
To be honest I haven't been keeping up, and what can I say, I'm lazy. On that note, whenever I'm bored in class I'm going to start reading through this thread, so I don't feel like a total asshat.
Wow. So I guess that being a bisexual biracial Pagan has taken too many words! I'm just a fag. THANKS WESTBORO BAPTIST! Give me a fucking break. *festers hatred for WBC*
Just got back from KC. There were more people than the arena could hold and I was one of thousands who was unable to get in. Doors opened at 3:45 for a 5:45 event and supposedly, the only people who were able to get in were those who were lined up all morning. That's how many people showed up. After standing in the lobby for about 45 minutes, they eventually told is that it was full. They set up an overflow area for all of us where Obama would speak to us at, but it was outside on a plaza and fucking cold. Obama was supposed to come over to the overflow area first once he got off the plane since we were outside, but due to a miscommunication somewhere, he went inside first and spoke. We eventually found out after about 30 minutes and then went inside the lobby to wait where it was warmer. Later, we went back outside and waited about 20 more minutes, and he eventually came up to the plaza and gave a brief speech and shook hands (I was too far back). It was short since it was cold (16 degrees according to my car's display) and we were already outside for so long. After a total of around 8 hours of driving (actually more like 6 and a half I think) and 2 tanks of gas, was it worth it even though I stood in the freezing cold and only saw a short speech? Hell yes. It's one of those once in a lifetime things and I have no regrets at all. It's one thing to see the crowds on TV cheering for him and chanting things like "Obama! Obama" and "Yes we can!" but it's an entirely different thing to be in that crowd. Pictures will be coming later. My digital camera sucks at night so I don't know how well they came out since the lighting on the plaza kinda sucked.
Not that big of a deal and kinda random but if you want to show support against the WBC you can join the myspace my friend started http://www.myspace.com/godhateswestborochurch It's not much but eh well. To Todd: That's awesome...I would've loved to actually go to one of those. Maybe if he comes back to Michigan before the election I can go.
Pictures (they're all thumbnails, click for larger) Assholes: People waiting inside the lobby. A lot of people: All of the people waiting outside in the freezing cold. This pic doesn't show the hundred or so people behind me: These need no caption:
You were so close to him man, that's just awesome. I wish PA wasn't an April state and one of the February 5th states. I would so gladly jump at the chance to go to a rally and see Barack as close as you have. It would be amazing.

Rudy Guliani is going to drop out and support McCain, as well. On an other related note, Obama has some huge ears.
