I'd guess it's something along those lines as well.

I think we can safely rule out the possibility of this being a Xero song or a live show, though.

But demos and remixes aren't out of the question.

actually i have an idea. i thinkk the top people at LPA started this to distract others from the fact that they dont know when given up is being released.. unless that IS whats coming.

Here's my theory.

LPA went with the title of 'What's that noise?'
LPFUSE is talking about the fusing of two elements etc and it being something from back in the early days... which suggests either pre or during HT.
It appeared to spawn from LPLive, and a remix/demo would be too obvious...

Now... a little out there but maybe:
Say it's a recording/video of XERO/HT performing a song we never knew they did... say it was a cover rather than an unheard of song... I mean, how would a song never be mentioned till now by at least one band member?
Say it was a cover of 'Bring The Noise' by Anthrax & Public Enemy?
A big influence on Mike and his first concert, one of the earliest songs to fuse the 'two elements' of Rap and Rock and would be easily performed by Xero in particular...

It's just a theory... I just want to make it public in case monday comes and I'm right and I'm going 'I knew it'd be that' and you all go 'sure, like you predicted that'

 

Argh! I must have been like the last person to know about this little ruse LPA & co have been wetting our appetite with.
Though I knew something was up a couple of weeks ago since LPFuse were going on about a special media download that will be available when their counter reaches 100000 or somthing like that.....
Hmm. What can I say? I know I would be at all dissopointed, if its big enough for at least 4 sites to keep it a secret for all this time its' bound to be something REALLY impressive!

I have read all 23 pages and held onto many thoughts until I read every post and all I can think is that some people are trying to do something nice and good for us (whatever it is). Whatever it is they are sharing it with us and I think that we should be thankful for that. And lets remember that this is a fan site, why would LP release a brand new song to a fan site and not their own site that people pay to be a part of? Anyways I just thought that some were being a bit harsh with their expectations. I guess at the end of the day everyone got so excited because they are such big fans of LP.

2. BIG announcement of Linkin Park's 4th album (seeing as how Chester mentioned it wont take long for them to release another one..will be pretty quickly)
3. the unknown song with Timbaland on "Shock Value II"
4. the song with Busta Rhymes on his album "Back on my BS" called "It Looks Like We Made It"
5. rare tracks
6. Linkin Park's first ever "Greatest Hits" album

I doubt it's a Greatest Hits album though... They're at the peak of their careers so yeah... No offense.

 

Hate to be rude, but 5 of your guesses are way off lol, one site and derek even said it's something older from LP. Whether it be a song, a live performance, and/or video is yet to be determined.

well hey, it was worth a guess...or two..like i said i could be wrong, so i guess i am wrong, lol..but it can be anything right now..no one knows except Derek and Hahninator.


although i was just thinking..Staind and Limp Bizkit did a cover of Public Enemy's "Bring the Noise" along time ago..maybe its Linkin Park's turn hense the headline "What was that NOISE"? lol just a thought.
