Linkin Park has been forced to cancel tonight’s concert at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque and tomorrow night’s show at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, as lead vocalist Chester Bennington has been diagnosed with tracheobronchitis and is under doctor’s orders to rest his voice for a few days. Linkin Park sincerely regrets this unavoidable cancellation and apologizes to fans for any disappointment caused. All tickets will be refunded from point of purchase.

    Thanks Feenix

Now I'm glad they didn't decide to put Dallas in the setlist. God told them not to because he knew they would cancel it and didntt want me to have to refund the ticket. :)

Tracheobronchitis is bronchitis...in your trachea. A.K.A. it's pretty much just what everyone else calls bronchitis.

That sucks for those fans that are attending the shows, but it's understandable to a degree since Chester is really sick.

I was at the Oklahoma City show last night (awesome) and Chester said that he was sick a couple of days ago and was just wanting us to help him sing (which we did). Even though he was sick, he still sounded good. Knowing that he was/is sick is probably the main reason why we didn't get to hear Given Up or No More Sorrow, due to them having a lot of screaming. I feel sorry for the people that bought tickets for the next couple of shows, glad I got to hear LP and I hope Chester heals up and feels better soon.

It's unfortunate how often Chester seems to get ill. Must be hard on him.
Here's hoping he gets well soon.

It would have been interesting if they went on with the show and had Mike sing everything

I can't imagine Mike trying to scream, "PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY!"

Even though it would probably apply to Mike, taking on the responsibility of screaming to the point where he may not be able to speak for a month or two.

Yea, it is unfortunate. I'm actually not surprised he got this as much as he uses his voice like he does. Years of screaming must really take it's toll. Hopefully he is better asap. I feel sorry for the fans that were going to attend the canceled show.

they should do some special shows without Chester, just like Korn

they can play songs that Chester is not featured , and add other songs that can have special guests
imagine A Place 4 my head with Craig Owens (Chiodos) he's a good screamer
or Papercut with the guy of Coheed, he has a good voice range..

Damn that sucks to hear. I just saw Lp last night in OKC and Chester's voice seemed to be lacking a lot of strength and power that it usually has. He was making the crowd help out with a lot of the words and Chester couldn't scream at all on Don't stay, but the show was alright. It just seemed lacking. They almost canceled our show too.

Yeah, but why bother doing that when people paid to see Linkin Park?
I mean, it is, but people paid to see them the way theyre supposed to be. I know it would be a bit cool to see mike sing everything, but it's just not Linkin Park without chester, right? Honestly, I'd rather they have it cancelled and come back another time than have a show played specially without Chester.
