Say you couldn't make it because... your tattoo's infected, looks like you need medical attention. Then, order the tickets, come in late and call it a false alarm.

I think some sort of something that could pass off as a false alarm would be a great idea. That way, you won't catch hell when you come in.

Am I the only one who likes the direction Panic took with Pretty. Odd. ?

I think its a maturation and it's made me respect the band even greater.

Seconded. Just like with Linkin Park and MTM, it opened doors for further albums, and it totally made me respect them even more.

Exactly. Panic's old sound, as fun as it was...was very immature in spots.

This album shows me that they are more than just a Fallout Boy clone. They have a future.

FINALLY, someone agrees. I just keep getting the whole "They sound different. I want the old Panic back."

Yeah. I don't care if it's the 2008 Sgt. Pepper.

That's accomplishing a lot if everybody thinks that. Most people try to emulate The Beatles and fail miserably. Panic did it well.

My parents don't feel the same way as you Derek, but I wholeheartedly agree. In my parents eyes, you never attempt to sound like Whitesnake, the Beatles, the Scorpions, or Queen, and get away with it. In my opinion, if you try, good for you. If you don't succeed, well, rework what you did. If you do succeed, you have my utmost respect, even if it's not perfect.

It's far from perfect, but I think they definitely succeeded.

I love "I Have Friends In Holy Spaces", it's so unique.

I played that song for my mom, and she just goes "what was that?" without her usual "oh, god, it sucked" tone. And when I told her, surprise! She made a face, and the first words were "it sucked." I personally love it though. Very unique, and really catchy.

As much as I praised them for this similarity, I wonder if I should be alarmed that I thought I was listening to The Beatles, and had to look down to confirm that it was still Panic for a moment.
