Linkin Park has announced the fifth installment of Projekt Revolution beginning July 16th in Boston, MA and wrapping up on August 24th in Houston, TX.

Fans attending will expect to see Linkin Park, Chris Cornell, The Bravery and Ashes Divide (featuring A Perfect Circle's Billy Howerdel) representing the main stage and Atreyu, 10 Years, Hawthorne Heights, Armor For Sleep and the Street Drum Corps appearing on the Revolution Stage.

“We started Projekt Revolution six years ago and have been lucky to have toured with some great bands,” says Linkin Park co-frontman Chester Bennington. “This year, however, might just be the best lineup yet. We’re looking forward to taking this show on the road and bringing great music to the masses.”

Also for a limited time beginning tomorrow, April 4th, Linkin Park and tour producer Live Nation say they will absorb service fees for tickets purchased through the band's fan club, lpunderground.com, or livenation.com.

"As a thank you to our fan club, we're picking up part of the tab for their tickets to this summer's Projekt Revolution," Linkin Park co-frontman Mike Shinoda said. "We'll be paying the service charge on fan club pre-sale tickets, which will save each fan roughly $8-$11. Our fan club has been incredibly loyal and supportive, and we hope this gesture lets them know how much we appreciate them."

Let the bitching commence! I personally think this is the worst lineup LP has had on ANY tour, EVER.

I really didn't think they could stoop any lower than Chiodos... I was wrong.

Atreyu and Hawthorne Heights. Holy fuck.

    Yes! Pittsburgh!

Now, without a doubt, I have to hope that I'm staying in the area and not moving in search of a new job by the time summer rolls around.

Oh come on, you can't bring Atreyu down THAT low. Yeah they aren't great but they are at least better than Hawthorne Heights (R.I.P. Casey).

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm praying that none of those support acts are playing the England show. That's the worst lineup for a tour ever.

Just a heads-up, as usual, LP have chosen to advertise a lot of these shows as being in the nearest large city to the venue. After some quick research, here's the ACTUAL locations of these shows:

Jul 18 Burgettstown, PA Post-Gazette Pavilion
Jul 19 Camden, NJ Susquehana Bank Center

Jul 22 Wantagh, NY Nikon at Jones Beach Theater
Jul 23 Holmdel, NJ PNC Bank Arts Center
Jul 25 Raleigh, NC Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek
Jul 26 Virginia Beach, VA Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater
Jul 27 Bristow, VA Nissan Pavilion
Jul 30 Charlotte, NC Charlotte Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre
Aug 1 West Palm Beach, FL Cruzan Amphitheatre
Aug 2 Tampa, FL Ford Amphitheatre
Aug 3 Atlanta, GA Lakewood Amphitheatre
Aug 7 Phoenix, AZ Cricket Wireless Pavilion
Aug 9 Mountain View, CA Shoreline Amphitheatre
Aug 10 Irvine, CA Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre
Aug 12 Englewood, CO Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre
Aug 15 Cincinnati, OH Riverbend Music Center
Aug 16 East Troy, WI Alpine Valley Music Theatre

I think the only reason Chester says this is the best lineup yet is because they got Chris Cornell.

The thing I don't get is that none of those bands are in LP's style of music whatsoever. Chris Cornell is maybe an exception but I'd expect bands like 30 Seconds To Mars, Alter Bridge, Nickleback, Daughtry, Fightstar, InMe etc. to be their support acts considering they're trying to be so adament that they're Alternative Rock.
