Fall Out Boy's new single titled "I Don't Care" can be streamed right here. I love it! It's catchy and upbeat, just like most of their singles. The beat sounds awfully familiar to "Tainted Love" and "S.O.S" though. Hello Soft Cell and Rihanna. *bounces of the walls*
I like the song but to be honest I'm not totally sure about the direction they've gone in with Infinity On High myself.
I think it's a good song. I'm in the same boat as Dean, I'm not sure I like the direction they're going. It seems like they're relying more on unconventional beats as opposed to actually using their talent to write their music, as far as guitar and bass goes (not that Pete is any good at bass). I don't think anything's ever going to touch From Under the Cork Tree. That's just about one of the best albums ever.
The song itself is pretty good, but to be honest I haven't overly liked anything they've put out after From Under the Cork Tree. I know pop-punk is so 2005, but I'd take something a bit closer to their old style than the new direction. That being said, I rather like the chorus of the new track. Maybe because it reminds me slightly of their older work.
What I meant to say is that I think they stretched themselves a little bit thin on their last album by trying too many things at once, although that's not to say I thought it was bad and I guess it was right for them to try new things even if it didn't always work. They are basically in the same situation as Linkin Park.
But...someone already beat them to the album title http://anzaoyama.blogspot.com/2007/11/folie-deux.html
