Lostprophets Drummer Leaves Band; Joins NIN

Lostprophets drummer Ilan Rubin has announced he will quit the band at the start of 2009 to join Nine Inch Nails.

Thanks. I think whoever posted the bulletin/blog actually put the NIN references in italics so I probably could have just gone back and copied that come to think of it, haha.

 

That was the same reason I was this close to posting the story, but then I didn't want to hurt the NIN kids feelings

 

Yeah this isn't just about NIN is it? It's about Lostprophets aswell.

There's no point to be made, it's just common sense that people who aren't interested in NIN but are interested in Lostprophets would appreciate this thread.

i like lostprophets. Their first album is their best, i didn't even bother listening to their newest one. All the singles sounded like shit.

Hopefully they have lots of those cool outros their dj guy does, on the new album.

 

I think this is a bad idea. I think he should've stuck with Lostprophets. Nine Inch Nails goes through performers like some friends of mine go through cigarettes.

 

I'd like to see the interludes return but I don't think that will happen under Bob Rock. Who knows though.

 

At least he'll get a good name for himself.

lately, the recording process isn't just Trent. Finck did guitar, and I believe JMJ and Freese did some bass and drums, respectively, on the "The Slip". They might have worked on "Ghosts", I'm not sure though.

But they'll be on tour for the better part of 2009, apparently. So he's got a nice, steady job until touring ends. JMJ said there's some big news coming, so maybe it's a new album, and then Ilan might get some studio time.
