I think the electronic elements and singing style are a departure from MTM.

What would you want the new album to sound like? :).

Mike said this is a track that's completely on it's own for relief for Haiti...I don't think anyone needs to worry about it being any indication as to what the next album will sound like.

I personally love the long...the whole album is great though and for such a good cause. I will certainly try to donate some cash.

I like it. The instrumental is reminiscent of the intro to 'Lying From You', and the best part of the track? Mr. Hahn!

Although, I wouldn't mind the new album sounding like this. I must be in the minority though lol.

I always thought New Divide's verses were a little oversung to be honest. So out of the post MTM tracks, this has to be my favorite.

Balls to the wall metal doesn't mean the song will sound great.

I'm one of the people who don't want LP to rock out just because others want them to. No; instead I'd like for their music to be more technical, more creative overall, and for Phoenix's bass guitar to be turned on :)P).

If Phoenix did some songs where the bass sounded like Muse bass (all distorted and electronic), that'd be kinda cool.

I really liked this song. I wouldn't mind if their new album was like this. I just want something interesting, with a concept and tremendous creativity.

I didn't really like it at first, but after repeated listens it is a really good song.

And assuming that this song was made for Haiti, it means they wrote a song this good in a week.

I think that's a sign that the guys have improved tremendously.

I like the track but I'm not crazy about it. It's a little too smooth for me. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I can't stand it when Chester adds a little scream in when it's not needed, but I think this track could use just a pinch more grittiness. Though I do like it a bit more once the beat hits.

Also, I really feel like it could have used a little rap verse from like, Lupe Fiasco during the breakdown. Give it another listen and tell me that wouldn't have been awesome if they had extended the breakdown a little bit.

Speaking of Lupe, his track "Resurrection" is up on the Music for Relief player on lupend-lupefiasco.blogspot.com but for some reason it's not up on the player on the actual MFR site yet. Weird. Regardless, the track is absolutely awesome. It's a collab with Kenna and it's produced by Mike. It is by far my favorite track from the Relief album. It is simply awesome. Give it a listen.

Told you they can bat out good songs without needing to work on them for months on end.

I've actually been wanting them to dump the "Let's re-write a song 97 times" mentality that Don Gilmore gave them for a while. Sometimes songs are perfect without re-writes.
