wow! Subfocus will be amazing. their self titled album is quality IMO. I know from past experience that Pendulum will be insanely good too. the new material will be epic live I'm quite jealous truth be told!
Sub Focus' debut album was brilliant indeed. It'll be awesome seeing Pendulum's new stuff though. The only other time I've seen them was at Milton Keynes when they were one of the bands that opened for LP. It's not really the same vibe when you see a band in an open doors setting...That's not to say that gig wasn't one of the best ever and I'm not looking forward to the Prodigy/Pendulum/Enter Shikari/Chase&Status gig in July at the bowl xD
that line up looks gold! I want to go to that gig but its a little to far to travel.. its going to be one hell of a day though, that's for sure! I've seen Pendulum at the 02 in Newcastle (as well as the time the played with LP), and they are simply brilliant!
I caved. The quality's awful, but from what I can hear, this is probably going to be one of my best of 2010.
Just finished listening through the album for the first time. "Immersion" beats the living hell out of "In Silico"; I don't know how it compares to "Hold Your Colour" 'cause I'm not intimately familiar with that album. There's has a wider array of drum patterns (finally) and I'd had doubts that they'd go overboard with Swire's vocals but they've been handled pretty well ... and, thankfully, not madly overused like "Watercolour" implied. :3
Very impressed with the new album! Haven't stopped listening since I first downloaded. Standout tracks for me are The Island - Part 1 (OMG that beat!), The Vulture, Witchcraft, Self vs. Self, Immunize and Crush. I also wish Set Me On Fire wasn't on the album.
Everything I've heard so far is pretty awesome (especially Self vs Self and The Island Part 1) but it hasn't beaten Hold Your Colour from what I can tell so far.
