Also I hope they are finally finishing their album cause once they said it's going to be released during this summer period... and still nothing. I want the album!

 

You don't start mixing a record you haven't finished recording (To quote Phoenix, it's "a big no-no"). If you want a consistant mix, you get the same guy to do all the tracks.

Mike was talking about "test mixes", where you send out a select few tracks to different people who will mix them and send them back to you. You then compare all the mixes, like Mike says "Blind", i.e. you listen to them without knowing who did what and decide which one you like most. Whoever you like most you get to to mix the whole record (when it's finished).

 

When did they say it would be released during this summer period??

 

...well not sure, I think I've heard it on You Tube or read in some article, so something left in my mind, I guess. Chester and Mike said the album would be release near this period (I'm tellin' it just general). I know I read it somewhere on net. Don't remember where, sorry.

 

Man, I feel bad for Linkin Park.

If I had a fan base that would sit there for hours picking apart EVERY single word I've publicly said, I'd be hesitant to say anything at all.

All you guys are doing is assuming things that haven't been said. Let vague statements like "finishing up the album" be vague. Let's not assume they're in the mixing stage. Let's not assume they even have all the tracks for each song recorded. It seems like nobody knows how to take anything at face value anymore.

 

I hope this doesn't end up being like 8-bit rebellion, instead of it being released in January, it ended up being released in late April.....I don't think they would let something like that happen to the album release date, but it is always possible that something could go wrong. (Hopefully not)

Interesting find:

Was reading a danish site, talking about them comming to Denmark on october 30th. In it they write that the album will be out in September, and that they will feature a big interview in that months issue.

The fact they have a big interview does in my eyes add credibility to this info. However they can of coirse delay the release.
