    so i'm guessing the catalyst is the first single? so what is a thousand suns....now i'm starting to really think it's the album name

    Okay... Either 'The Catalyst' is the new single or the name of the album. I think the '///' (there may be three slashes just to signify that this is their third album) is just a separation between the name and date. If the rumors about the album being out in September are true, then I'd bet that this is the date the new single will be released, OTHERWISE, it could be the date the new album is released.

    I'm excited!

    So...it seems like The Catalyst is probably the new single?

    If so, I wonder what 1000 Suns is. Album title maybe?

    This is getting pretty exciting, though I still can't believe we were promised a big announcement ages ago and are still scratching our heads with nothing confirmed :p

    Yep. I noticed that it said the cataylst as soon as I looked at it. And then when I came back to post again that it's the 2nd of august you guys had already figured it out. :lol:

    No, it's definitely the single. There's no way they can still be recording, as of yesterday, and get done with the album/release it in less than a month.

    Shit this was done soooo quickly. This is definitely the single release date. The date that was leaked onto LPL? August 2nd.

    Or maybe the single is not named The Catalyst. Maybe the single IS the catalyst that makes things different for the new album and the name of the single is A Thousand Suns.

    Yeah it's definitely a single. Which would make their Album release date late September or maybe even October (October which is likely)
