Other than Mike & Chester, which other member of LP would you like to see a solo / side-project from? Maybe a guitar driven album from Brad with guest vocalists? Maybe a Joe Hahn mix of beats and instrumentals with samples? How about Phoenix or Rob doing some collaborations? Let us know below.
I wouldn't mind seeing Rob do an album that has songs that range over several different genres and putting his drumming skills to the absolute test.
Can't see Phoenix, Brad or Rob doing a side project. Mike and Chester have already done one. Hahn, ehhh maybe.
Well Hahn already had his solo project with The Seed, so unless he plans on a full length sequel, or another short film all together, i think he is pretty much side projectless. as for Brad, i think he would do great in another band, or get his and robs high school band Relative Degree back together. But for phoenix, i can see him doing some kinda solo cello rock instrumental album composed by himself.
I'd probably only be really interested in Joe doing a sweet instrumental hip hop/"turntablism" album. But then again, Mike+Rob+Joe could do a fucking rad old school hip hop album.
If Joe did an album he would have various artists featured on most of the tracks. Hmm, imagine remixing an album, but not releasing the actual album until after the remix cd. Now that would be interesting, but would it sell? Its better to do it the traditional way. If joe were to release a side project e.p. to test the waters it would probably be influenced by his work in LP, but hey it could be as some of you have said, more like old school hip hop. Realistically, his talent has to be blended in with the identity of the entire band.
He could release a few tracks to the public (via internet) and see what reactions he gets, then he goes from there.
I would like to see Rob in a post-prog band. Mike should start a project combining instrumental hiphop with post-rock/metal. Something he already experimented with with Lockjaw.
