A Thousand Suns Tracklist

Well, turns out that LP's track titles share the same vibe as Coldplay's.

 

I can live with that, just as long as the music doesn't sound similar.

If the tracklist proves indeed true then this proves LP has been busting their asses on this album. I think back to November when Mike said they had narrowed the songs to 20. To only cut 5 is pretty awesome.

The big question is... Did Chicken Basket(Demo Name) make it?!

 

Remember, the more the number of tracks on the album, the lesser the chances of it being a good listen from start to finish like Hybrid Theory.

but after I heard the snipped of the catalyst, I can say that there will be at least one song I'll like.


btw, you can also say that the more number of tracks on the album, the more chances to live at least half of them.

That's one of my main questions too, it's been mentioned twice already, and once been dedicated a whole blog post...

 

Am I the only one who thinks that this song names indicates that ATS actualy gonna be a conceptual album? It seems like everything points on it right now...

This tracklist really excites me. The names are more creative, they all lead me to think EPIC... and there are 15 tracks!!! Even better... the lead single is the second to the last song!! I'm so down.

 

I tend to like everything LP does ... they've just got that 'thing' in their music talent that makes everything cool, so I won't mind 15 tracks at all.

Mike doesn't disappoint when it comes to quality in the tracks he works on.

Burning in the skies sounds powerful, Blackout too.. Like very darky lol. Also wretches and kings sounds interesting. I'm super excited..

 

I didn't feel like reading all 9 pages of this thread, but I thought I'd say I'm digging the general vibe of the titles.

It seems like half the titles have words/concepts that half of their fanbase won't understand, which is a GREAT thing as far as I'm concerned. It's nice to know we probably won't get 'I wanna heal, I wanna feel, like I'm close to something real' songs.

Based solely on song titles alone, here's what I'm most interested to hear:

The Requiem
Empty Spaces
Robot Boy
Jornada Del Muerto (Day of the Dead)
Wretches & Kings
Wisdom, Justice, and Love (Reminds me of Between The Buried And Me's Injury, Disease, and Madness)
Iridescent
The Messenger (Only because Thrice also has a song called The Messenger)

 

I know. What if Mike now posts that this is not the tracklist and LP have nothing to do with this.

That would be so many wet pants for no reason.

 

Muse has a song called Blackout and it's a beautiful track. Hopefully LP's Blackout can stand up to it.

 

Guys, this is the real deal. I'm sorry, but video game info leaks on sites like these all the time and 99% of the time it's true.

Of course, I might be wrong, but I'm personally convinced this is the real deal.

Oh, and I forgot to mention in my last post. 15 tracks!? Everything about this album just gets better and better.

I think Fallout is an awesome title for a song. Can't imagine what the lyrics of this song will be about though.

 

That's the thing. We've always known that LP has a lot more deep and interesting stuff in their minds that they could've been releasing, but they haven't. This album seems to be the one where they just throw off the shackles that were holding them back, and just making something that's the best it can possibly be without worrying about the success of the album or whether the teenie-boppers will understand it.
