EPIC!!!!!this is one of the best LP videos ever..it deserves to win many awards.... This is LP'S greatest video: 1. Chester teaches us how to swim carefully xD 2. Mike looks like Voldemort and sitting in a car 3. Joe Hahn strongly hits the DJ 4. Brad Delson jumps with the guitar with a headphone 5. Phoenix on the bass, playing thru the water 6. Rob playing drum in his own space. this is the weirdest and best video!!! LP like they r playing in the end of the world - 2012. Joe Hahn need to make a movie!!!
Dude i was gonna say that Mike looks like lord voldy lmfao Caw Caw < hawk noise for major Awesomeness
I showed the video to my girlfriend, and my little brother. Their reactions were along the lines of, "it's boring, but looked pretty good." This confirms my initial thoughts of the video. It's a vague video laced with a few "lags" here and there, so to speak but I understand that it's supposed to be a vague representation of what's to come; 'The beginning of the end'. Unfortunately, the casual viewer may not understand this concept. The problem I think that this video will face in terms of grabbing the viewer's full attention from start to finish is the presentation itself. For an example, the visuals could have been that much more dynamic if it was a little more discernible (i.e: Pan-out shot of the collapse of the city). Additionally, despite the arguably positive standpoint on Mike Shinoda's screentime, the video could have spent a little more time divulging the existence and purpose of the men in gas masks. Alternatively, perhaps Joe could have had Mike doing a little more than sitting there and singing the lines of the song. Thus, I trust that if these minor tweaks were to have been made, the common, or casual audience/enthusiast would have a much more enjoyable time dissecting the video as it plays. Analogically speaking, being fed with a tiny spoon to get the metabolism flowing, if you will.
Ana, don't you scare me like that! The imagery of the video conveys a gloomy and disturbing atmosphere, which is awesome. But I gotta admit, the poor lip synching almost ruins it for me.
I think this video did its job because i knew a guy who hated the catalyst, but once he saw this video he considered the song again and admitted he liked it, and he liked the video. He now plans on getting ATS
well...mike sure has a lot more hair than voldmort.. .. well..joe did miss a couple of scenes where the band as a whole is singing..or..i cant see it thru smoke..??
GO SUPER SAIYAN MIKE! Also- AWESOME VIDEO, Mike looks as badass as ever. Maybe a bit more Brad?! Although Joe abusing his turntable makes up for it
I think it's high time they let somebody else do their videos because honestly, they're getting worse and worse.
There are some letters in the beginning of the video. What does it say? You can see it at 1:16 or so.
i can see the word brother. i can't see anything before that. The Catalyst is actually SUCH an amazing video. it's so dark and it fits together so well, but not in the way i imagined. i imagined the video being so much different but it still worked so well. it kinda gives me a new outlook on the song itself. thumbs up from me joe hahn, more like Genius Hahn x)
Great video. One of the best from LP so far. And it could be anything you say, but its definitely not "boring"
