ATS Pre-Listening Fan Notes 08/30/10

I'm glad to hear your great opinion. I kind of get that feeling like when Hybrid Theory and Meteora came out. It's refreshing to get something out of the ordinary every now and then.

 

This entire CD is definitely "out of the ordinary."

As of now, what track would be the one that you like the most so far?

 

All I can remember is that it makes sense as being the next single. Its odd - I dont remember details, but I know it will just go well over the air waves. If Wretches and Kings isnt the 3rd single, I will cry.

 

There were two books floating around. The one I saw was very gritty looking with a cool picture at the end with a wolfs head with a snake coming out of it!

 

If the CD doesnt leak by Tuesday Ill be able to add A LOT more information.

 

From what I took away from it, the track has EVERYTHING. Rapping, singing, fast tempo, slow tempo and the beat just meshes perfectly with every verse.

 

I mean next week, the laser show.

 

I shall be back in the morning to answer any more questions people have. Only 2 more weeks .

 

Here's what I got. I piggy backed off of Evans on LPL
1. I also had a comment about Tron sounding, good intro, gets you amped
2. Speech, I forgot the theme but I remember it is powerful
3. Solid much better with song 2 interlude
4. I wrote down 20 seconds of Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland.
5. Heavy, heavy song I remember there was a section with Chester signing over a Muse type electro guitar track I caught the phrase "forfeit the game!!!!!"
6. Don't recall/ Not blown away
7. Spacey noises
8. This song has EVERYTHING. Rapping/singing aggressive/ soft and the beat kicks in perfectly on every verse
9. New Favorite LP song knocking Faint of the list (NIN Great Destroyer meets New Divide techno bridge) Basically two different songs like TC but doesn't work too well in this instance. Blackout definitely gets the blood pumping and Joe will pwn face scratching this part live
10. In Stereo kick with There they go pace! Full of Win Chanting Front back side to side at the end. HELL OF A LIVE SONG
11. Cool outro with a space shuttle launch noise repeats the main phrase of the speech then morphs into robotic voice!
12. Good, don't recall too much
13. Dont remember I wrote down "Steven Hawking" Yes Im going to hell but just wait and see for yourself
14. Win
15. NOT HERO OF WAR. Much more powerful but almost stripped. Fitting end to the story of ATS!

I think people will be slightly more receptive to this because the tempo is similar but due to the electronic nature of the songs it feels more aggressive

 

Lets all face it, This album needs to leak. If only to help is get through the next two weeks so that we can make it till the 14th.

 

Oh, what's up ATS. Or should I say my new favorite album. Fort minor, screaming (some at least), songs with slow tempo, fast tempo, and BOTH, chestier on the acoustic, the songs flow, interludes with vocals, meaningful lyrics, and lots to take in. Hot damn.
