    Over the past month you may have come across an EP being listed on international iTunes stores that consists of The Catalyst & four additional Catalyst remixes. There's not much known about it other than that it is believed to be comprised of Featuring You runner-up tracks, however this isn't entirely true. This is actually comprised of upcoming and established musicians, in which not all were part of the contest. All artists include: "Does It Offend You, Yeah?", "King Fantastic", "Dj Endorphin" & "Cale Pellick". "Does It Offend You, Yeah?" pioneer the list as an international artist who are making their name wordwide and continue to do so with their remix of The Catalyst, which you can listen to below.

    [audio=artists=&titles=DIOYY - The Catalyst (Remix)]http://media.lpassociation.com/clips/090410-212354_The Catalyst - DIOYY (Remix).mp3[/audio]

    01. The Catalyst
    02. The Catalyst ("Bobby Bloomfield" Does It Offend You, Yeah? Remix)
    03. The Catalyst (King Fantastic Remix)
    04. The Catalyst (feat. Dj Endorphin)
    05. The Catalyst (feat Cale Pellick)

    The EP was released today in the UK at the UK iTunes store. Check your iTunes to see if it's available and support the artists today. If you have it let us know what you think of the mixes on our forums!

    They should have entered the contest and the competition would be further much tougher.

    The first two remixes use stems from The Catalyst that weren't given out and were made afterwards. I really recommend you get a hold of the King Fantastic track, as it is great, and perhaps my favourite on the EP.

    I came across this EP a week or so ago and was unsure of its legitimacy. Very cool remixes though.

    Yup, just noticed as I listened to the DIOYY remix, oh well... That doesn't reduce their coolness in anyway =]

    There's a track for purchase titled 71 (feat. Linkin Park) in the U.S. iTunes store. The artist is Star Scene and it uses some of The Catalyst stems. It's actually not that bad.

    That's actually just one of the entries from the remix contest. As far as I can tell, the guy who made it just decided (erroneously) that it was perfectly okay for him to put his remix on iTunes. Unless there was some behind-the-scenes licensing thing that was worked out that I'm not aware of, not only is that an unofficial release, it's a blatantly illegal one.

    Anyway, as for the EP, to clarify, Cale Pellick and DJ Endorphin's remixes were submissions in the original contest, the other two are new.

    To date, 5 of the submissions from the contest have been released officially (all of which were in the band's top 20 finalist list): NoBrain's, DJ Endorphin's, Cale Pellick's, Ill Audio's, and Digitalomat's (the last 2 are available for download from linkinpark.com).

    So many remixes of one song. The Catalyst is probably the most recycled song ever, and it's been only one month since its release.

    If they keep doing this it will get old very fast.
