Yeah, Robot Boy sounds so boring, I hope it picks up in the actual song. However, this CD sounds more mellow than their others which I'm OK with I guess, a lot of low tempo songs it seems like. However, it sounds somewhat amazing! I CANNOT WAIT ANYMORE.
They've successfully done melodic songs while sounding experimental. I like it! I thought the speech interludes would sound cliche but the effects used made them sound epic! And this does NOT sound like a rock record, which I love. My favorite artists have always been people like Bjork. The Messenger is an exception though it really fits well with the rest of the album.
Definitely a new sound from LP. I for one am excited to hear the new sound because it's going to be awesome. But for those people who are all about and praying for the CD to contain the older sounding LP they will be sorely disappointed. ONE WEEK!
oh my god! lol These samples sound great! Chester's got a golden voice for damn sure..Waiting For The End sounds amazing..TOO amazing..the rap in When They Come For Me....sweet! =) Blackout....fucking mindblowing holy fuck! Some old school Chester!!! =D Burning In The Skies...jesus lord i cant wait for next Tuesday to come..these are only 30 seconds but they sound so amazing...so unlike them and different yet golden. The Messenger...Chester's voice sounds perfect! This album is sooo much different than Minutes to Midnight and nothing ive ever heard from them ever and im so excited! LP4evr =) Edit: can anyone put these on youtube? lol
Oh my God. I can't say what's good and bad. I'll tell you right now. This is really fucking different. I like the fact that it is, but I can't give opinions until I hear it all. I'm pretty sure if you didn't know it was Linkin Park, you wouldn't be able to say that it is.
You've got to be shitting me...... Half those songs sound like they belong on an "Owl City" record. Blackout is fuckin awesome. I love Wretches and Kings. The Catalyst has grown on me. Other than that, what the fuck is the rest of that crap? Way too slow for me. Hopefully the snippets were just slow portions of the song, because if the rest of those songs are really that soft, Imma be very disappointed. Yes, I know that I'm going to take heat for this post. Go ahead. I'm allowed to have an opinion. My opinions are never always positive for my favorite band.
Nice to see snippets, although not sure why this is being released on some website instead of them being send first to the ones that preordered. But, yeah, nice.
A Thousand Suns's gonna be the best Linkin Park album ever. I've felt the same essence of Radiohead's Kid A. I didn't expect something like they've done before, and that's exactly because this album will be freakin awesome. Pretty chilling the speeches from MLK and Oppenheimer. And Chester's vocals at The Messenger... OMFG
