Stupid teenagers eat it up, though. I know I did when I first heard it. I thought the lyrics were amazing. How embarrassing.
I think they're fine tbh. I think everyone is nit picking this album to death, they feel as though they NEED to find something to bitch about. No offense to the original poster.
Even if the lyrics are bad (I think they are awesome) I might be the only one but, I don't listen to the lyrics, just the song. I don't know if anyone understands me but yeah.
With all the talk of bad lyrics, lets not forget about Empty Spaces...oh wait. Who wants to start a "Worst waste of 18 seconds" thread?
Wow, I guess I'm still too dumb to see the dumbness of most of the lyrics in Meteora. But for now, let's just say it's a masterpiece... until I understand what's up since... I heard those during my pre-teen years (and I'm STILL a teen now). Now, about Empty Spaces... well... are there any words in there to begin with?
Lol you said my name....and when put into this context next to ATS it kinda makes me wanna change my name, though I thought it was cool at the time.
ATS is lyrically their best album, for me. Maybe it's just that they tie up very well with the sound, or that they have a personal appeal to me, or just that I am made to love what this band does. Whatever, 5/5 for the album, both musically and lyrically.
"I used the deadwood to make the fire rise The blood of innocence burning in the skies I filled my cup with the rising of the sea I poured it out in an ocean of debris" anybody else like that lyric?
If you take the lyrics out of content, sure it looks bad. "I'm not a robot, I'm not a monkey I will not dance even if the beat's funky" If you take into content, that Mike is bashing at all "we want nu-metal LP back you suckzz" then i think it's really awesome and just awesome rhyme by Mike!
