Did Mike/Chester/Somebody from LP say a few months ago that when they toured they would have a new audio/visual system that would blow people's minds because it was crazy and new? I'm SURE I read that at one point. Also I'm sure I read they would be 'changing up the old songs' to make them fit with the new digital/distorted sound of ATS. From a few live clips I've seen so far, they've just played the old songs exactly how they always do, and the 'audio/visual' system is just lighting and a big screen. Or did I just imagine the whole thing?
I'm pretty sure they'll wait until the US tour because lugging all that gear through other countries is extremely hard. It's much easier to use that stuff when touring in the continental US.
They've been introducing new stuff in these shows however. I'm thinking of the instance where Chester's video camera during Numb was broadcast onto the backdrop.
Hahaha. Brings a new meaning to 'Real-D' Yeah thats a good point about taking the equipment to other countries. Didnt think of that
Yeah, from reading the magazine articles about LP's stage crew, the stage set that they bring for arenas would be rather difficult to fly thousands of miles, and I don't think any one can afford all of the airfare it would require just to bring it all around the world. LP is rich, but I'm pretty sure they aren't THAT rich to do that.
Is it me or was this the first time they played the majority of the songs off of their new album in the first few shows?
I also remember a specific comment (can't remember which member but I know it was made) about the idea of letting fans vote on a song for them to play at each show. This has yet to happen, though we can hope this wasn't just empty talk (however that hope isn't too high)
Mike talked about it in Ana's video. But that is just something he thinks he wants to do, whether or not that will be put it into effect is anyone's guess.
Knowing their track record the likely scenario will be it won't happen, however, hopefully, someone from the band / management reads this, and realize how much it would really mean to the fans. It would bolster support undoubtedly, just 1 song per show.
