Ben meet Hands Held High. Hands Held High meet Ben. Now that you have been introduced, go get yourselves some fruit punch
I don't know, there's lots of things I would like to see but I just want the band to enjoy and learn from what they do. If they believe in the music they put out then I'm sure it will be great, and I'll have respect for it no matter what.
Would like something a bit darker, and instead of instrumental interlude tracks - more instrumental parts within the songs. It felt like though they were doing some cool things in the interludes and making interesting sounds/writing interesting music, the actually songs on the album seemed to be mostly based around the vocals - which is definitely something they could move away from to experiment more or whatever they're into doing nowadays.
I'm sorry, but it had to be said. Is a stupid-ass remark like this even necessary in this discussion? It doesn't add to the discussion, and we can't figure out via that smiley if you're agreeing or disagreeing. I apologize, but seriously dude. Stop being an idiot. Just saying.
Hmm not sure how I forgot HHH. Anyways, I agree with Cstebila. Mike's rapping will ALWAYS be my favorite aspect of Linkin Park. A 12-song album with 6-7 tracks w/rapping would be ideal. Of course, I do NOT want HT/Meteora again. I want more WFTE/WTCFM/WAK. It'd be cool if LP took their "Bit proggy" aspect of ATS and made a full out prog album. Imagine a song like BITS except with a rapping verse mashed in. They should take what they did in And One and make more songs that take an unexpected turn at the end. We saw a little of that in Blackout. WTCFM had serious potential in that department but the band decided to just end the song with Chester screaming "AAAAAAAAAHHaaaHHH" with megaphone Brad. That was very meh to me. A 3rd verse would have been insane!
A 3rd verse also would've added to the progressive aspect. If it ended with Megaphone Brad it would've been just fine with me.
No it wouldn't. What they did, introducing something new at the end, is more progressive than adding another verse.
Seriously, I just want a 50-min album, for as long as the music is good, I don't care about genre/song structure/instruments.
Seriously, like, dude, like that comment was SO necessary considering that you're not even a mod. Regarding the next album, I want heavier stuff. More technicality in Brad's guitar play and Mike rapping more, Rob drumming more, less processed beats. Basically, less electronica, more rock.
Well, I would like to hear some: Violin, Cello, Grand Piano, Viola,..... and more drumming, I don't really care about the guitar, they can do anything they want with it, and even the song is soft, I won't mind. Erm...Rapping over Classical Background
I'm actually trying to search the realm of imagination to see how they can outdo A Thousand Suns musically without traveling across the world and picking up like, a shamisen, or a sitar. Or a didgeridoo. EDIT: Imagine When They Come For Me with a didgeridoo
