What songs do you think the band will never perform live again at any of their shows? List and discuss what you think in this thread!

They'll definitely never play hit the floor and easier to run again. Forgotten is 90% toast, I'll list more later xD There are ones that are quite predictable like And one and everything else on Hybrid Theory EP

Forgotten is a definite one. They haven't played Points of Authority since the start of the tour, so there might be a chance that won't be played at least for the remainder of the tour, and so forth.

Probably all of their old work that deserves to be played way more than what they are still playing from Hybrid Theory. Forgotten, Cure For The Itch, With You, Pushing Me Away.

Hit The Floor I thought because it wasn't a single nor all that popular.
Beats me about Easier To Run - I thought people looked at it on a similar level to Numb, but I guess when you put it alongside Faint and and Breaking the Habit, it's way more mediocre.

One song from each album I don't think they'll ever play again live:
    - By Myself
    - Somewhere I Belong - :\
    - Valentine's Day (thank God -_-)

I don't get why "Hit The Floor" didn't go well live.

I imagined it would have gone down as well as "Papercut" did but I guess fans at the shows didn't warm up to it too well ...

it'll be a shame if those songs mention above don't get played again, hopefully LP can accommodate them into future sets.

if they were to play everything though it'd just be one massive show that went on for days and days haha. sad thing is that they'll have to drop more and more songs when the release more new material!

You mean one massive show that went on for 3 hours? They don't have that much stuff to play yet lol.

If you compare the studio versions of Easier to Run and Numb, Easier to Run is a far better song. But I never thought ETR sounded that great live. Numb sounds OKAY I guess.

The only underground songs I ever see them playing again is My December (because they've played it so many times before) and maybe Across the Line (haha that's more wishful thinking on my part). And I also agree with what everyone's said in their posts. They could easily take out fucking Crawling and play something like Forgotten or With You. Crawling doesn't sound all that great anymore (the band heavily relies on the crowd for the chorus). Heck, stop playing APFMH. We've heard that song enough. I honestly think Forgotten in particular would still sound amazing.

I would find it odd if they played Wake because The Requiem is their new opener.

    Oh, no, we haven't ...

But, yeah, I'd really like for them to take "Numb" and "Breaking The Habit" out from the current setlist and replace them with songs that were never released as singles ...

I'm sure there are a few "Live experts" on here that can explain this a little better or in more detail than I can, but basically the reason why HTF was never performed live is because in the few times it was performed it pretty much blew major huevos. The song never had the same punch or 'crunch' as it did on the record, and Chester really struggled in the chorus with the screaming parts. It just didn't sound good at all.

Not going to list songs that they've never played live before.

Would not rule out Reading My Eyes, that song has made a surprise appearance more than once.

    Hybrid Theory EP -
Step Up (Not in full anyway)
    And One
    High Voltage (Sadly)

    Hybrid Theory -
    With You
    Runaway
    By Myself
    Forgotten

Would not rule out Cure For The Itch, they continuously brought it back during the MTM cycle.

    Meteora -
Don't Stay (I honestly think they've finally retired this)
Hit The Floor (Dead and gone. Not a single or very well known song, and it never really sounded that great live)
    Easier To Run
Figure.09 (I wish they would play this again, crowd would go apeshit)
Nobody's Listening (Like Step Up, won't be played in full again)

    Minutes To Midnight -
Wake (This album cycle is over, there's really no point in this going before Given Up anymore)
Hands Held High (Not in full. It never really worked live)
    Valentine's Day
    In Between

    LPU CDs -
    A.06
    Wish
    QWERTY

My December will be played again, I guarantee it. It's Goin' Down will not.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, your 100% right with this list.

The real reason why LP don't play With/Runway is that their performed on a 7 string guitar. Brad hasn't used one live since 2002. and since then hes used a 6 string guitar tuned to B. The songs haven't been played for ages as Brad would have to bring another guitar on tour just to play 1 or 2 songs. Its this reason why i LP have droped 'Don't stay' as it required the drop B tunning. So unless they bring back those tunnings on a future album, those songs are gone for good. :(
