btw for this weekend. My picks are... Rampage vs Machida - Rampage Sotiropoulos vs Louzon - Sotiropoulos Hughes vs Penn - BJ Penn
Looking forward to this weekends card. I think Rampage may take it too, but I'm not so sure with BJ & Hughes. I think Hughes may possibly take this via decision as BJ has not done too well in his past fights, will be interesting to see if he can come back in good form for this one.
Yeah, I've warmed up to the merger, recently. Those guys deserve a larger audience. My UFC 123 picks: Machida Penn Sotiropoulos If losing the lightweight title doesn't wake BJ Penn up, nothing will.
Danielakatoxic and I are at Humperdinks drinking and watching the PPV. We're 2-0 on picks. GO RAMPAGE! FUCK MACHIDA UP.
I'm a big Machida fan, but I don't see why everyone is going apeshit over last night's decision. Lyoto played it way too safe in the first two rounds. Congratulations to Rampage, though. He looked much better last night than he had recently.
The decision on the Lyoto/Rampage fight was just. Machida did not get robbed. Also, the prodigy returns? We'll see. I'd say it's more of Hughes getting caught is all.
Yeah, it was definitely just. I don't get it either. Rampage was the presser and aggressor of that fight and deserved the win. Lyoto had a good final round but that was all. I'd welcome the rematch though probably, but I'll be happy with whatever.
There is no reason why ppl should say Machida got robbed. Those that said it are just nuthuggers and won't let go the fact that he wasn't as good as everyone made him out to be. He's good. Yes, but not that good.
Someone needs to put poor Karo Parisyan on a suicide watch. Dana has to be fucking with the guy at this point. Rampage/Machida rematch isn't going to happen. I'd like to see Rampage/Jones if Jones can beat Bader. 2011 will be the year for Bones, if he can keep on winning. In other news, Rampage just bought a house, and left the Wolfslair camp. I bet Rampage will be fighting alot over the next few years, gotta make that paper to pay off that house. Oh yeah... Roy Nelson for WWE Champion.
http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/mma/news/story?id=5838380 Everyone that has the slightest interest in MMA or UFC needs to read that article. It's heartbreaking. As someone who has social anxiety (not the only thing Karo seems to have, mind you), and has been through panic attacks, I feel for the guy. Not much can make me tear up, but that article got me real close.
Yeah, saw it coming. I don't blame him really, he wasn't being used correctly and seems he wasn't enjoying it there. I can see him maybe coming back down the line, but I'm sure he'll do better wherever he goes from here.
Did anyone else watch "Strikeforce: Henderson vs Babalu"? I don't think I've ever seen that many brutal knockouts in a single MMA event. Scott Smith and Matt Lindland are probably still unconscious.
