Linkin Park are busy promoting their World Tour which hits Australia in December, and you can check out a couple of interviews from Chester & Brad below:

    Chester Interview With AccessAllAreas.net:

Chester recently spoke to Australian website Access All Areas to discuss their upcoming tour to Australia, as well as the possibility of Jay-Z joining them on stage and the prospects of a live DVD from the current tour, whilst hinting at a possible 2011 release for the next studio album:

"AccessAllAreas: Looking ahead to 2011, what is on the horizon for Linkin Park? Will there be a possible live DVD from this world tour?"

"Chester Bennington: I don’t know. We haven’t really discussed anything like that, we’re really more focused on performing these shows and putting on a great live show and really focused on working on our next album. We tend to be pretty spontaneous with what we do, so if there is a live dvd or something to give something to our fans, something that they’ll like… I think we’re always trying to do something for our fans and give them more than just a record and a chance to see use live. You never know. But I think what we’re really looking forward to most in the coming year is putting out another record."

    Brad Interview With MusicRadar.com:

Brad had a good interview about his role on A Thousand Suns. He talks about what he was focused on in creating A Thousand Suns and goes into detail about editing, his guitar playing and Robot Boy. Check out excerpts below and follow the link for the full article.

"One example would be on a song called Robot Boy. There were tons of sounds in that song, and it started out as a different kind of song. I think I spent two days straight at NRG Studios, literally just editing and moving things around and running things through plug-ins. I spent a lot of hours tinkering. I didn't know if anybody would actually like it, and I had to be open to the idea that they wouldn't. But the direction that the song started to take was the popular one."

Very exciting. Though the quote is somewhat ambiguous, and rumors are bound to start flying from it, its still very exciting, perhaps we'll see something sooner then we all thought.

Seriously? I find it hard to believe that we will get a new record in the span of a year, but it really excites me to see how eager and passionate they are about creating music and putting all other projects aside to focus on a new album.

Agreed, it really excites me :D It'd be nice to see another full length by late 2011, extremely nice.

I wouldn't read into that answer very much. :p I remember Chester gave an interview in 2008 about how the next Linkin Park record would be done quickly.

Obviously, didn't quite work out that way.

It was just my fanboyish nature coming out, I totally understand this, hence the editing on my post, I know unfounded rumors will begin to circulate, however thats inevitable.

    Hahaha, exactly.

As for Jay-Z joining them in Australia, I wonder if people would still want to see that live or not with the release of ATS.

Personally I would not, just never cared for Jay-Z's material too much.

The guys were always bad at predicting new album dates (like they said), I'll keep my fingers crossed for that.

"we want to work on getting an album out next year". sure, sounds great buuuuuuut..... 2011 hits, tour, tour, rest, start lyrics on the road, tour, 2012 hits, tour, tour, live dvd/remix cd/alternate project, tour, tour, rest, enter studio for pre-production, 2013 hits, tour, head into studio, record, scrap, record, scrap, record and choose favorite rough cuts, 2014 hits; finish master/mixing favorites, get warner approval, promote, mid 2014 new cd hits shelves....

    ......

    ....

2011 no way, but late 2012 is very possible (for 5th LP album).

WOW...Brad really avoids the "Guitar Solos" topic.

I´ve actually never saw an interview that he talks about it...

I know, people seriously need to do their research!

great news from Chester though, & interesting interviews overall. I hope Brad or someone else goes back to playing more guitar on the next record tho. Its a shame as Brad's got such a wide range of musical tastes & influences.
