In a leaked press release and later confirmed by Rock Band on their Twitter page, a Linkin Park DLC pack for Rock Band, to be released on 1/11/11, was announced. The songs included in the DLC pack are:

    • Crawling
    • In the End
    • Numb
    • Somewhere I Belong
    • Waiting for the End
    • What I've Done

A Pro Guitar/Bass chart will be available for In the End & What I've Done for an extra 99 cents.

Why the hell is only one song charted for Pro mode?!?!?!? I didn't just drop $320 on that damn guitar for 5% of the RB songs to be charted.

Edit:Looks like WID is also Pro Charted...

Funny how everything we posted from that ended up being true, albeit some a little later.

Yep, the only story we had to take down last year as we were contacted by Warner as it being false. Turns out they worked it out in the end, and it is in fact true. Makes me glad we reported it to begin with despite the follow up rebuttal, and that sites like the source in this article remember our report from August.

It's a shame the choice of songs isn't strong IMO. Would have liked less hits but I guess that's what RB were looking for.

I'm guessing the DLC Pack would be for the updated version.

Sadly it's only for Rock Band 3... All upcoming DLC is prompt for RB3 unless otherwise.

For RockBand 1 you will need to buy a keycode in RB2 game for $10USD (if i remember) and use the RB1 disc to download the songs itno your hard drive.
For RockBand 2 you will need to have the game manual which has a code on the back. For which you will need RockBand 3 disc and in the games menu you add in the code which will allow you to buy another keycode for $10USD as well but this time you just download a 2gb song pack in the marketplace which contains the RB2 songs.

No offence, but the guitar parts in alot of the songs will be extremely simple.
    Same with the bass.

You can say that about a lot of Linkin Park songs in general. Simple songs can still be fun to play in these games, though. The times I've played LP songs in them before they were kind of dull, but still.

For Pro Mode in the string fender guitar, this pack should be one of the key packs to help with getting the rust out of people fingers for true pro mode beginners, beyond that.... it's just a waste of money lol if you are playing it on the "plastic"...

Only get it if you are doing the piano / drums / vocals and PRO Guitar (which ever songs allow it)

The keys part in SIB really raised an eyebrow for me when the chorus hit. They really amped the audio on that part. Lol
